Trans attack on Fund for refuges

Hi Women,

Just to let you know my ride for murdered women was subject to attack from trans activists yesterday afternoon.

They accused me of stealing the money to pay for Fair Play adverts which is a blatant untruth.

Wearside Women will confirm today that they have properly received fully transparent accounts for the donated money which transfers directly from Go Fund Me to them without ever touching my account. I do this for exactly this kind of reason!

The upside is - their nasty little tricks resulted in people donating £1000 altogether in a few hours. Thanks to anyone who did. ❤️

That showed em. Women are mighty.

Sorry you’re having to put up with this shit, Jean. Flowers

Janie143 · 11/10/2018 12:58

*rage

Janie143 · 11/10/2018 12:58

That can't hide their race that women are allowed to their own money. We shouldn't be allowed bank accounts never mind a vote

TheTrickyWitch · 11/10/2018 12:46

Just donated to you and to Fair Play for women.

Solidarity Jean and huge thanks for all you do Flowers

BlackeyedSusan · 11/10/2018 12:34

oo look at that, you do not have to have a paypal account to donate.

IrianOfW · 11/10/2018 12:28

Donated x

AdoraBell · 11/10/2018 12:04

I already donate, but will do so again with your link.

Yep, own goal.

DubaiismyBlackpool · 11/10/2018 12:03

I've donated too.
Thanks to 'them' I've found your fundraising page.
Epic fail on their side I feel.

You're a Star Halo . Cake to keep your energy levels up.

world

Sigh @ me.

LangCleg · 11/10/2018 11:59

It just shows even more what they think of us: that we can't even fund raise enough to run one ad without nicking the money from somewhere else. Still, it makes a change from it being paid by right wing Christians in America, I suppose. Do they not believe we may actually have some money and we can make our own decisions about how, when and where to spend it? I think lots of us are sickened by the big charities that we used to support and have withdrawn our funding from them to direct to more local and smaller efforts. I will def be making a donation to Jean's crowdfunder today.

Let's remember: women control more than 80% of family expenditure.

I personally have stopped direct debits to: the Labour Party, Oxfam, and Amnesty. I've also stopped making one off donations to Children in Need, Comic Relief, Save the Children and more. All of those funds have been redirected to women's causes, particularly women affected by austerity cuts.

While these extremist anti-woman activists are so busy being ageist about the saggy-titted and becunted among us as well - perhaps they could remember that we are the women who have sent our children out into the word and paid off our mortgages. There are millions of us and we use our tenners and fivers wisely.

Dragon3 · 11/10/2018 11:56

I've been meaning to donate for a while and not got around to it. This prompted me to actually do it. Thanks for the reminder, TRAs!

Keep going Jean. You are amazing.

Serfisafleur · 11/10/2018 11:31

Huh. The AWA indeed. It's as if I have new eyes and can see it for what it it's.

Datun · 11/10/2018 11:30

I've gone from reading that Fairplay for Women should be ashamed of themselves for not using their money on women's refuges, to now being told that the money has been stolen from women's refuges.

They simply cannot get their head around the solidarity required to raise a considerable amount of money from a fiver here and tenner there.

They've run out of options to counter it, so they just lie.

The transparency of the attack plumbs a new level of idiocy.

Flowers Jean i'm so sorry you're having to wake up to this sort of shit. And thank you for publicising it. The more people who see this, the better.

FearOfFrogs · 11/10/2018 11:24

You are amazing. I have just donated to your worthy cause. Keep fighting the TRA's.

drinkswineoutofamug · 11/10/2018 11:22

Donated. Keep up the good work jean

Lollygaggles · 11/10/2018 11:06

Every time I hear stories like this, I donate to the women's cause in question. I really like the idea of TRA own goals. Thanks Jean for publicising their vile tantrummy antics and I thank you for your strength, courage and humanity.

beenandgoneandbackagain · 11/10/2018 10:55

I am so sorry to hear about more bullying and outright lies.

I told your story to my partner, and straight away he told me to double my donation as he also wanted to make a contribution.

Our very best wishes to you and your family. You are amazing.

BonfiresOfInsanity · 11/10/2018 10:55

Thanks for letting us know, I knew nothing about this campaign. I have now donated.

FloralBunting · 11/10/2018 10:49

Never has the acronym AWA been more appropriate. Anti-Woman Activists all.

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 10:46

Odd that, isn't it?

Very. I'll put it in my Big Book of Totally Unconnected Coincidences.

TransposersArePosers · 11/10/2018 10:30

Jean, you are amazing.

I am sorry you've been attacked in this way, but as a result I've donated to your cause for the first time today.

birdbandit · 11/10/2018 10:27

So sorry you are being attacked in this way.

This is definitely turning into a thing. TRAs attacking women for doing anything for women.

Nasty, nasty vile people.

Again for the lurkers, a woman riding to raise money for victims of domestic violence is being attacked.

Jeanhatchet · 11/10/2018 10:26

You women - so very kind. Don't underestimate how much even a small donation helps a women's service. Wearside help a lot of women with no recourse to public funds so no govt funds to pay for their refuge spaces etc. An IDVA is also really invaluable in helping high risk women stay alive. They help the women most at risk of homicide.

Sorry if I'm telling some of you what you well know!

Donated.

I think what you are doing is wonderful.

Can you get some coverage of the attack on your local media?
