Not sure if this has already been posted. Lily Madigan, the women's officer, saying that a group of women they disagree with can go fuck themselves. Labour are a fucking joke.

Also if they blame a friend or the dog for tweeting them, I would seriously question security of any data they also might have gain access to, given their position.

I do recall this was one of the reason some power hungry jobsworth got sacked for.

So take your pick of the frying pan

HerFemaleWoman · 08/10/2018 13:46

No LM can’t claim that as apparently their accounts was hacked prior to those tweets and google helped them. So doubt very much.

To late I sent screenshots shots of those tweets to a lot of people in Authority, because that’s the kind of helpful person I am

VickyEadie · 08/10/2018 12:00

'The dog ate my homework' defence usually involves someone who cannot be charged with offences or held to account, however - throwing your brother under the bus is an especially nasty tactic.

ToeToToe · 08/10/2018 11:32

Oh, Madigan will claim that those tweets never existed and, if they did, it was because someone else used their Twitter account

Very true.

But nobody actually believes that! Outside of the young-labour bubble, Madigan might find things are v different.

FekkoTheLawyer · 08/10/2018 11:06

I thought Lily said it was their brother who did the social media naughty before? The 'it wasnae me' sibling defense.

hackmum · 08/10/2018 10:47

Why don't Madigan and co ever get charged with wasting police time? All they ever seem to do is report people to the police for disagreeing with them.

I wonder how long Madigan can remain women's officer of the Rochester and Strood CLP? They're at college in Goldsmiths, south east London, so if they're living near the university, rather than at home, then they're no longer in the constituency and shouldn't have a post there.

ClosdesMouches · 08/10/2018 10:45

I couldn't remember if it was AR or not. I was asking because I have two friends who are constituents of hers.

TwistedStitch · 08/10/2018 10:41

Rayner is thick as shit. Her twitter feed is an embarrassment, much like most of Labour these days.

Was it Angela Rayner who was lauding LM recently?
Yes.

Rayner joined males who called women cunts and various other misogynistic and violent names along with threats in a Labour Facebook group.

Rayner is a danger to females.

Rayner only has interest in Rayner.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 08/10/2018 10:28

Those tweets will stick around - they will come back to haunt any political career Madigan has in mind.

Oh, Madigan will claim that those tweets never existed and, if they did, it was because someone else used their Twitter account and, after all, it is only terfs who object so it's all good.

ToeToToe · 08/10/2018 10:06

Madigan's always claiming to report people to the police.

Madigan needs to develop a slightly thicker skin (and develop more diplomatic media skills) if Madigan wants to enter politics on a serious level - our MPs (particularly our female MPs) get incredible levels of abuse - and are in real danger of actual violence (rather than just the 'literal' violence of deadnaming or misgendering). Jo Cox, for example.

Those tweets will stick around - they will come back to haunt any political career Madigan has in mind.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 08/10/2018 08:23

I, for one, look forward to the new television series CSI: Special Snowflake Investigation. In this series, crime scene investigators, advised by West Yorkshire Police, will investigate "literal violence" - deadnaming, misgendering, 'someone else used my Twitter account to make rape jokes' and toilets segregated by sex.

FekkoTheLawyer · 08/10/2018 08:07

How many (actual, real) crime reports aren't being followed up - it's in the news today? Maybe the police are busy pacifying some rather delicate youngsters.

SunsetBeetch · 08/10/2018 07:52

Oh good grief. Not for the first time either. I think the police may regret pandering to spurious hate speech and harrassment accusations. Hopefully someone in charge will be forced to have a bit of a rethink and tighten up the 'rules'.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 08/10/2018 07:44

Lily is reporting people to the police

SunsetBeetch · 08/10/2018 07:27

I was being sarcastic Verbeena, and it's obviously a 'joke' given Lily's previous tweets about the rights being mutually exclusive.

PersonWithAVulva · 08/10/2018 02:03

Woohoo!!! Mumsnet just deleted my "donald trump is a twat" post....at least they're consistent....

Only in the context of the Lily thing.

I bet my life that if I was to go through Trump threads reporting the (I am assuming MANY) posts where he is insulted, nothing would happen. Its slightly tempting to do this, just to check. I can't see the posters on those threads being impressed if their posts start disappearing, but surely, if its good enough for FWR posters, it should be good enough for AIBU? I don't understand why the new guidelines only apply to here anyway tbh, its most unfair.

Danaquestionseverything · 08/10/2018 00:30

Shrugs. Soo predictable someone needs attention. Tweets something controversial > Plays the Victim> Basks in all the lovely, cooing validation. Rinse and repeat. Yawns.

PipGoesPop · 08/10/2018 00:30

Can someone link to the medical journal that is citing that women can now have penises please?

VerbeenaBeeks · 08/10/2018 00:21

Why is that funny? Surely going by some of the tweets on here if you said women's rights are important too alongside trans rights, it'd get dismissed. As some won't accept trans rights are a thing too.

SunsetBeetch · 08/10/2018 00:15

Oh you so funny, Lily.

This is not a personal attack pile on if not unchallenged how?

Confused Can you try that again please?
