I thought it was just going to be some random troll, but I’ve seen this person’s tweets before and they’re just your garden variety abusive TRA. They’re becoming really nasty, nastier than usual. Think they might be a tad rattled?

Like I said on the AIBU thread - Jacinta is self-ID. Either self declaration is for none or it is for all. So I agree with Fermats that this is at least honest.

But you know - there are times to be logically consistent when defending your ideology and times to shut the fuck up and hope nobody notices what your ideology means.

I give Allie all the lack of self awareness points for hashtagging #RapistHill. That is a spectacular level of echo chamber own goal, right there.

Well, I applaud their honesty. They may be bonkers, but they do at least have the merit of being logically consistent (if you accept their totally bonkers starting position).

Because if TWAW, and self ID is the only criterion by which to decide whether someone is a woman, then, yes, logically, if you accept those two premises, Jacinta Brooks is every bit as much a woman as Pips Bunce, AllieLia, me, Mother Theresa...

Or alternatively, if you reject those two premises, and instead take biology to be the defining criterion, then three of the above list are not women, and two are.

I know which view I hold.

I've loved that thread. It highlights the extent of the mental gymnastics required to believe this nonsense. If your belief system has got you to the point where you're defending rapists wholesale as a group then surely that's time to sit down and reflect on where those beliefs are taking you.
