Given she hasn’t even met with any women’s groups concerned about the clash with their rights, or bothered with even a webchat here to find out what mumsnetters are actually worried about, I find this a rather sinister stance.

Penny Mordaunt must be a fall guy, no? She was terrible in her last job and was walked all over by Priti Patel, and she seems to be terrible in this one too. Is she being set up for another job or for the chop?
