Posie Parker Doxed Over Night

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/10/2018 06:31

Last night some lunatic on Twitter doxed Posie Parker, exposing photos of her family, her children, her home address and lots more personal information.

Thankfully quick reporting from Twitter users got it taken down

Let’s hope the police are onto this.

Appalling! Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them. And these so-called activists have proven this.

IStandWithPosie · 01/10/2018 13:42

This Morning and The Metro are complicit in this.

Agree. They need to address this.

Please don't forget about the EHRC Call For Evidence too!

Recent addition of Sporting consultation (October 5th):

"There is an open consultation taking place on the existing Gender Recognition Act 2004. Government is looking to reform the legal recognition process, some of which is simplified here. As the majority of sports are gender specific or engage in gender separation, Sport England and the Alliance are encouraging you to submit your thoughts, experience and/ or current policies on transgender participation in sport. If you would like to refer to the original consultation please see here. Please submit your feedback to us by Friday 5th October.

We have outlined the following areas for you to provide comment on, which will feed into our joint response to Government"

WPUK have put out a statement supporting Posie. Good.

It's time to stand four square behind any woman who is treated like this.

I wonder if this incident will lead to any reflective practice by the producers and figureheads of This Morning as to the way that they framed a member of the public, Posie Parker, as a "legitimate target" if anybody remembers that awful phrase.

The social media rhetoric about her, the way that they demonised her for her views and made it all about the personal rather than the political - This Morning and The Metro are complicit in this.

hackmum · 01/10/2018 13:29

Do you honestly believe being a pain in the arse deserves such action?

There's no point in trying to appeal to zeboo's better judgement. People like that have no moral compass whatsoever. Many TRAs, as we've seen from the behaviour of people like Aimee Challenor and Adrian Harrop, are deeply nasty individuals without any of the normal feelings of empathy and kindness that most people have.

placemats · 01/10/2018 13:27

JeanHatchet

If you object to men who say they are women - those men will metaphorically drag you into the street to be killed ... now why is that?

Killed, silenced and doxxed.

Men are men. Women are women. One of those can shout, scream, drink as much as they like, wear what they like, play around, have twenty children and it will never, ever impact on their career.

IStandWithPosie · 01/10/2018 13:24

She is a pain in the arse

What a horrific crime! Hmm Seriously, this is why her children deserve to have their pictures and address published on the internet? Really? Do you honestly believe being a pain in the arse deserves such action?

placemats · 01/10/2018 13:21

Of course it's a woman's issue.

It certainly isn't a male issue.

R0wantrees · 01/10/2018 13:19

Here's the thing - this is a women's issue, and that includes all women, even the ones who don't call themselves feminists, even the ones we had a falling out with, even the ones who we vehemently disagree with on other issues. Dilute the definition of "woman" in law and weaken safeguarding and we all suffer. So why is anyone even quibbling over whether or not Posie calls herself a feminist?

THis was thepoint that Posie Parker made too when interviewed by Matthew Wright on LBC. She is speaking as a woman.

This is too important to be treated as a partisan issue. United we stand, divided we fall, etc.

QuilliamCakespeare · 01/10/2018 13:07

Thanks @R0wantrees - wish I'd spotted that thread first! It's taken me bloody ages but I skipped some of the questions and focussed on where I feel strongest - Q1, the free comments at the end and some in between where I had opportunity to talk about preserving female safe spaces.

R0wantrees · 01/10/2018 13:04

Jean Hatchet writes:

"Last night an account posted the details of Posie Parker’s address, pictures and videos of her children, her husband, details of her house. If you object to men who say they are women - those men will metaphorically drag you into the street to be killed ... now why is that?

Why so desperate to harm women who challenge them? No radical feminist woman has harmed a trans woman. Not one. All women have done is say “No”. And for that women and their children must be placed in danger. There is a reason to be afraid when men don’t want women to say “No”.

And if you were all “Posie Parker is not a feminist” etc etc etc .... stop it now. When a woman’s life is at risk because she stood up for women ... help her. @ WomansPlaceUK perhaps now is the time to remove that statement. Deeds not words."

Harrop's pinned tweet had been all about PP for a while now. Targeted harassment.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 01/10/2018 13:00

Oh, Posie. I am so sorry that some scumbag has doxxed you. That is appalling.

R0wantrees · 01/10/2018 12:59

I've just been prompted to complete the consultation too. I tried to be measured in my responses but found myself getting steadily more wound up as I worked through the questions.

As well as completing the consultation document, it is possible to comment. From the Easy Read Guidance:

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/10/2018 12:52

@Molokonono that organisation was definitely not on any of the tweets. I have screenshots.

I think someone is doing background checks on Harrop to see if any links to the doxxer can be found. It's known that Harrop is a member of that doctors' group and the poster was asking who funds it.

I really think you should ask MNHQ to remove your posts.

ItsNotUnusualToBe · 01/10/2018 12:29

I read somewhere that is was a mistake to force Posie off social media because she then ended up on mainstream media where she was awesome.

Another mistake taking this into the real life world of doxxing. I’m taking this real life as well. I will be speaking to school governors, will having our leaflets and speaking to people about the consultation. Strength in numbers. The more people who speak out the better. HANDS OFF OUR RIGHTS.

TheElementsSong · 01/10/2018 12:10

I'd really like to see Zeeboo's post pinned underneath the rules so that all visitors can see exactly what's going on.

Seconded!

Alicejacks · 01/10/2018 12:08

Flowers to you Posie. I am fucking furious on your behalf. Thank you for your bravery standing up to these lunatics.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 01/10/2018 11:57

Please don't anyone report zeeboo's post. It's the perfect example of what I was referring to in my last post. They genuinely can't help themselves because they really have a very topsy-turvy view of how to keep kids safe.

I think that's generous Floral, my interpretation is that they don't care at all if children are harmed

ABitCrapper · 01/10/2018 11:57

chattylion good point! Let's get this flagged up somehow in parliament.

ChattyLion · 01/10/2018 11:55

Posie Flowers
Please do contact your MPs about this.
Let’s ask for this to be put as an urgent question - let’s see the Speaker try to bat away this time.
What special protection will be offered to women at risk from anti-woman extremists?
What central monitoring is being done of these groups as we do with other kinds of extremism?
