OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/10/2018 06:31

Last night some lunatic on Twitter doxed Posie Parker, exposing photos of her family, her children, her home address and lots more personal information.

Thankfully quick reporting from Twitter users got it taken down

Let’s hope the police are onto this.

I hope her MP in aware if not already involved. They absolutely need to be.

Also hoping there are people on here who know and live near her who can perhaps offer practical support, e.g. accompanying her and/or being there for her kids if she can't be.

This is terrorism.

Bowlofbabelfish · 01/10/2018 08:41

She needs police protection.

You’re a brave, brave woman, posie. I know it’s trite to say I stand with you but I’m telling everyone around me about this and they are aghast. I’ll be on your web shop later for a T shirt. If you need to crowdfund for legal fees I’m in.

I hope you’ve gone to the police.

Have donated money through the website www.standingforwomen.com/shop

heresyandwitchcraft · 01/10/2018 08:39

Posie Flowers
Take care of you and yours.
These jokers are for the main part just a bunch of idiots who can't tolerate the dictionary, but some of the people involved actually seem dangerous (as he have learned based on past events).
Please get proper security.

placemats · 01/10/2018 08:39

+And, you know, will be showing the image of Aimee in front of the loft ladder.*

Sorry to derail but Shock

ILuvBirdsEye · 01/10/2018 08:38

Wow! Photos and videos of her kids! My sympathy and support with Posie.

Hope the bastards are caught and tried properly. (Not holding my breath though)

placemats · 01/10/2018 08:37

Yes, Posie is going to the police this morning. Good.

The person(s) who did this is/are despicable.

Snowymountainsalways · 01/10/2018 08:35

Lets hope the police will soon issue a statement about how they intend to prosecute the criminals that did this. Malicious communication offence was designed with this in mind, so we would like to see the law being applied to this case.

I hope Posie will chase them for a public statement.

Some pressure from the media would also be welcome.

AngryAttackKittens · 01/10/2018 08:33

I hope the media do pick this up. "Mum attacked and photos of her children published online in sinister attack on free speech" would make an excellent headline.

longtimelurkingtrans · 01/10/2018 08:31

Scary beyond belief, here are some seriously unhinged people on the web and I do hope they never get her details, The Police have got to come down heavily on whoever is responsible.

GulagsMyArse · 01/10/2018 08:30

Poise, I’m so sorry to hear this happened and yes nothing screams man more than this abuse.

RepealtheGRA · 01/10/2018 08:30

Posie has posted on Facebook that she is going to the police.

She has also commented on the times article.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 01/10/2018 08:27

I really hope the newspapers pick this up. It was a despicable and cowardly and inexcusable thing to do - seems a bit of a pattern after going after Linehan's wife.

The more people who see this behaviour the better.

PillowOfSociety · 01/10/2018 08:27

This is terrorism against free speech.

She has a right to her opinion and to voice it.

I do stand with Posie, asvin agree with her though I have no public profile, and will be posting about this in my Facebook page, non-anonymously.

She is incredibly brave and clear headed. I wouldn’t have her courage, mostly because I don’t find it easy to articulate my views publicly when under fire. She does speak for many of us when she dies just that.

NopeNi · 01/10/2018 08:26

Posie, if you're reading this and have some mates on Mumsnet still - hope you're alright.

There are some deeply abusive men out there. This is categorical proof that they're actively trying to harm a specific woman and her children, rallying others to hurt her. The police should be taking note.

And you know what? I know some of you TRAs are lurking, trying to find transphobic comments. Well if you stand with this kind of action, you're one of the creepy bastards, no matter who you are or how you identify.

Take a fucking hard look at yourself.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 01/10/2018 08:24

I'm coming closer and closer to coming out as a big fucking a-gender, not cis, Mrs, terf.

It could cost me my job and will definitely cost me friendships.

Am having a chat with my Lib Dem MP next week about Aimee Challenor and why they have lost my vote until they can assure me that Aimee will not have any public role. And, you know, will be showing the image of Aimee in front of the loft ladder. My MP is a reasonable man, I reckon he'll get it,

I am trying to be brave. Have absolute respect for Posie and all the people who put themselves into the firing line for the TA - who seem largely unhinged and dangerous.

inquiquotiokixul · 01/10/2018 08:22

@naivetyisthenewblack it means that unless you are also abandoning the safe anonymity that most of us need in order to speak the truth online, you aren't really standing with Posie. Putting the phrase on your own Facebook as a public post would be standing with her. An anonymous post on here isn't.

Floisme · 01/10/2018 08:20

I’m just off to order one of Posie’s T shirts and I suggest everyone who can afford to does the same. Even if you’re not in a position to wear it in public, at least it will raise some money.

MipMipMip · 01/10/2018 08:20

Posie I'm sure you've already thought of this but it might be worth giving your kid's schools heads up. I'm sure nothing woyld happen but best they are aware.

KatVonGulag · 01/10/2018 08:19

I am scared.

In real life with friends I am "look what's going on ", but on social media I have a lot of woke dude "friends" who will attack me. Maybe I should get better friends... but I also know they think they are coming from a right place. I dunno if that makes sense. They aren't bad people. They just haven't seen the shit we've seen.

I'm also genuinely scared especially for my job.

We can all take little steps to stand with Posie and all our other brave sisters.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 01/10/2018 08:14

This is terrorism

yes it is. It needs to STOP

Posie, stay safe, do what you need to.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/10/2018 08:10

I'm appalled by this. But please, don't post things like "I stand with Posie". Given that we're all anonymous, it opens us up to ridicule.

Nope. This whole thing shows exactly why we feel we need to remain anonymous. Most of us have children, we have every right to be scared and we still have every right to tell a brave woman that we stand with her. I am open about this on social media and now at work but even if I wasn’t I still support and stand with Posie in other ways. Women will always find a way to stand by brave women.

UpstartCrow · 01/10/2018 08:09

I can only assume the person was pretending to be Posie’s husband.
Thats interesting, I saw some comments recently asking Posie who her husband is. I wonder if there's a connection.

Molokonono · 01/10/2018 08:08

I can believe this, this is exactly what happens when you fail to obey abusers.

Eh? What? I don't get your point at all.
