Well if you look at the 'Rollonfriday' article, I think lawyers are normally very anti-Walter Mitty (fake lawyers), but in this case they seem to be quite sympathetic.
As I understand it, Stephanie is a 'lawyer' in that 'lawyer' is not a protected term, and does seem to spend quite a long time playing at one. So it's like saying 'I'm a computer programmer', if you program computers, then you are one, there's no qualification needed.
