They also may have conversed with them in informal situations / taken advice but that is not formally recorded / was not during official policy formation meetings.

I think the wording is odd.

Aimee is trolling now surely. How many women have adult baby fetishes? I mean apart from being paid / persuaded to change them and stuff. Women are just nowhere near as interested in this shit. We don't have time for it literally or figuratively. Obviously this is not a good association for GG.

If you put your sexual predilictions online and you are pervy as all fuck and in groups with bunches of other pervy weirdos then you shuldn't be surprised when the mums of a bunch of girl guides and brownies say ERM nope way to the nope.

I DGAF about kink shaming. Not kink shaming is so last year. I am bang into it now.

LangCleg · 25/09/2018 15:47

Everyone keep pushing. This is crumbling just like the Greens crumbled.

Nobody wants their daughter to come back from a guide camp either pregnant or with an STD - from consensual sex or assault.

Nobody wants a self-ID male person advising their daughter with her period problems while on a guide camp.

And all the other stuff about this policy. Nobody wants it aside from dodgy men and the pomo-addled fools at the top of the organisation.

arranfan · 25/09/2018 15:47

They are saying Stonewall and Gendered Intelligence.

GG needs to say whether they bought an untailored 'basic, off-the-shelf' policy which nobody stands behind or if they bought a policy that was tailored for them and who was consulted for it - both from Stonewall and Gendered Intelligence.

deepwatersolo · 25/09/2018 15:44

Yeah, GG insist they did not take advice from any individual. I wonder how that works. Last time I checked, organizations like stonewall were organizationd made up from individuals. Or did they take advice from the stonewall copy machine? This is just silly.

WarmWishes · 25/09/2018 15:44

And they've paid for it and they are going to bloody well stand by it!

It would benefit GG if they named the people who advised them on their trans inclusion policy. It would certainly help many parents and girl guides.

OlennasWimple · 25/09/2018 15:41

AC is fucking trolling with that tweet Hmm

ZuttZeVootEeVro · 25/09/2018 15:36

dolorsit · 25/09/2018 15:32

I suspect they haven't taken advice from them as a private individual but at least one will have given advice as a representative of stonewall or another trans advocacy group.

R0wantrees · 25/09/2018 15:32

WarmWishes
I wondered that too.

It seems like a 'politician's answer'

It may be that the questions need to be re-worded!

TimeForDebate · 25/09/2018 15:31

Wow, never thought I'd be applauding Piers Morgan !

arranfan · 25/09/2018 15:31

Certainly looks like AC, as discussed in this thread about the panel tho' GG are claiming that a member of GG attended this discussion about GG at the Speakers House in a personal capacity:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3250175-Girl-Guides-Panel-discussion-at-Speakers-house-woman-male-woman-male-male-male

Yes - the wording is all very odd...

WarmWishes · 25/09/2018 15:29

Is there something weird about the wording of their reply in that response about Fae and Challenor or am I seeing something that isn't there?

Why wait so long to refute it and when they do, choose words that sound robotic?

OP posts:
NothingOnTellyAgain · 25/09/2018 15:28

Fact is the answers were

Trangirls must always be accommodated in whichever way they feel more comfy
Cunty girls must do as they're told or they're bigots (off the the gulag)
Parents and girls must not be warned in advance is their daughter is going to be confronted with unexpected dick on the guiding weekend away

So all in all, clearly whoever they were talking to had a massive agenda.

Iused2BanOptimist · 25/09/2018 15:28

Aimee has tweeted that they will be wearing their guides badge this week.

There is a photo of the panel though is that not aimee?

  • stonewall if they consulted them odds on aimee was involved, espeically with their expertise and interest with their dad as a scout leader & involved in other child orgs.

They probably are not counting the panel as "consulting" but that's a bit hmmm IMO.

arranfan · 25/09/2018 15:26

People are following up about Bunce et al. because it's hard to know if GG are being disingenuous or truthful. E.g., they might not acknowledge taking advice from individuals per se, but is it plausible that they took advice from those individuals in their capacity as champions for Stonewall etc.?

NothingOnTellyAgain · 25/09/2018 15:25

Aimee Challenor was on that panel as well weren't they?

Is also on Stonewall trans inclusion group (or whatever it's called).

You can't tak advcie really from an "org" >> all orgs are formed of people that you go and talk to. You take advice from people who represent an org, really.

I think they are drawing disctinctions around consulting / talking to generally and so on and are beign a bit disingenuous. Say what you like about Jane (and there is lots to say) but they seem very upfront and in the open and I can't say I'd just assume they were lying TBH.

Pips / Phil was on the panel in "I'm a little teapot" mode.

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 25/09/2018 15:21

Thanks Chocolala. I've tweeted them but don't expect a response, and I'm not a volunteer nor do I have any concerns about my daughter's Brownie troop (the volunteers are complete stars there) so I think I'll just practice watchful waiting from now on!

R0wantrees · 25/09/2018 15:19

'Pips' Bunce was on the panel discussing Girl Guides at The Speaker's House.
It would be interesting to know whether Girl Guides will acknowledge this.
Bunce is I think listed as being a Stonewall 'champion' or similar.

WarmWishes · 25/09/2018 15:17

Sorry you can't see their reply re. Challenor but the answer was no.

WarmWishes · 25/09/2018 15:16

Girl guiding say they were not advised by Fae or Challenor. 🤔

And that should read Posie Parker Blush

SecondRow · 25/09/2018 14:57

Hi, I already put this on another thread but just want to add it here too. GirlGuiding's own acknowledgment of the importance of all-girl spaces Hmm. From just a couple of weeks ago too. Feel free to retweet!

@Knicknackpaddyflak thank you thank you thank you for putting that down in words so eloquently, unfortunately it wasn't something I could do to the people on twitter who were name calling.

It's so frustrating to feel like I have to bring my daughter up in a world where she has to smile and comply so as to not hurt a man's feelings.

I'm fairly new to the trans debate, it wasn't until watching the fab YouTube video of Parker Posey that a fellow mumsnetter posted that I realised I had to get more informed and more angry that this is happening!
