I see the crowd funding thread has been deleted. Message from MNHQ re not allowing campaigns not from registered charities etc.

Have I been had? Now panicking about doxxing etc. I just wanted to help. I'm not that savvy really Blush

ahhhh, I think i get it now. erm possibly.

FunnyBird · 20/09/2018 13:49

So, you're saying if we google Fair Play For Women, we'd see a link to donate to the cause. And advice about the GRA consultation. So I might get round to completing it and donating the money i used to send to the Lib Dems. Sounds rubbish.

CGID · 20/09/2018 13:23

I donated before but just decided to activate Paypal. Thanks for reminder

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 20/09/2018 13:09

Bit poor atm, so obsessive bumping is my contribution Grin

Cynara · 20/09/2018 13:08

Thank you to everyone who didn't bump this thread, if it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't have seen it and then I'd have wasted £20 instead of putting it to good use today.

Little Miss and Mr Bump!

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 20/09/2018 12:59

Bump!

Dammit, who left this thread lying around for people to trip over?

theOtherPamAyres · 20/09/2018 12:35

I bumped into a friend and she told me that FPFW were £4K short of their target. So I got out my debit card and did something.

I don't know if it was the right thing to do - I'll have to keep checking this thread.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 20/09/2018 11:12

I know glad, they just have no shame... Grin

GladAllOver · 20/09/2018 10:19

It's terrible the way people keep bumping this thread.
I wouldn't dream of coming on here like some people, to mention this excellent project being crowdfunded.

TeenTimesTwo · 20/09/2018 07:53

A fundraising page I've been looking at has now raised over £6k in just a few days. That's pretty good, isn't it, but they are still 4k short of their target. It is a shame we can't advertise it here really.

BesmirchingMotherhood · 19/09/2018 22:44

I thought the report was just excellent.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 19/09/2018 22:30

The video is fantastic Star

Look at what FPFW have made. I just donated again.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 19/09/2018 21:06

I thought bumping my own last post might make me look desperate Wink

BesmirchingMotherhood · 19/09/2018 21:04

Where did you all go?

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 18/09/2018 21:40

Another little bump...

Did I do a wrong thing by donating?
GinNeeded · 18/09/2018 21:24

Couldn't find the crowd funding for this specific campaign so I just donated to the general funding of fpfw...oops did I bump this?

VickyEadie · 18/09/2018 19:51

Hands off my rights - bump.

GladAllOver · 18/09/2018 19:26

I think it's terrible to keep bumping a subject like "hands off my rights"
Personally I wouldn't have anything to do with it.
And I certainly wouldn't send any money to it by crowdfunder

Petalflowers · 18/09/2018 19:23

Looked at the website, and consequently completed the consultation.

Twunk · 18/09/2018 18:58

I did donate yesterday to a good cause like this. I think it may well have been this particular crowdfunder. “hands off my rights” certainly rings a bell.

I have my CVC number memorised, but I certainly do like using PayPal to donate/buy things/send money to people.

BesmirchingMotherhood · 18/09/2018 16:25

You are doing excellent work. Thank you.

DoctorW · 18/09/2018 16:23

Some great feedback here. We'll embed a widget onto the website for the crowdfunder so people know its linked to us officially. Lots of people also donate via paypal directly - it avoid the crowdfunder fees so we get more of the donation.

All the money we raise at the moment is being ploughed into the consultation campaign. We've just ordered another 200,000 prints and we working on loads of other resources that will be out any day now.

Juells · 18/09/2018 15:24

it could be useful to have a link from the fair play for women homepage too so I think they're going to have a look at that.

The crowdfunders that manage to winkle money out me are the ones that make it really easy, don't require registration, provide a Paypal 'Donate' button etc.. You have to strike the second someone's attention has been grabbed. If I have to register and have a password and login and blah blah blah I just close the browser and drift away.
