Did I do a wrong thing by donating?

I see the crowd funding thread has been deleted. Message from MNHQ re not allowing campaigns not from registered charities etc.

Have I been had? Now panicking about doxxing etc. I just wanted to help. I'm not that savvy really Blush

So that's two organisations worthy of our financial support.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 25/09/2018 17:02

Exactly. No child should be put on chemotherapy drugs or face castration / mastectomy just because they're gender nonconforming. TransgenderTrend do a brilliant job.

GladAllOver · 25/09/2018 16:50

Yes I think that's the one she means, and they do help young people. Their website says

"Over the past few years there has been a global rise in the number of children referred to gender clinics. There is no reliable scientific basis for the diagnosis of transgender, nor long-term research on the outcome of treatments. Setting children off on a path towards medicalisation with irreversible life-long effects is an experiment which has no precedent."

Something we can all support.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 25/09/2018 12:05

you could always donate to groups that are supported to help young people.

Like Transgender Trend.

It’s all starting to get a bit Orwellian/Attwoodian isn’t it, the dictionary definition of woman is now deemed offensive. I would like to see more Fair Play For Woman, and less misogyny.

Onthebrink87 · 24/09/2018 23:33

-meh?-

LadyBrian · 24/09/2018 23:27

Hopefully this thread is a good reminder for people to donate to any causes they support, so your bumping is most appreciated Bespin.

BesmirchingMotherhood · 24/09/2018 23:14

This is nothing to do with the billboard Bespin. This is about the FairPlay for Women crowdfunder. The billboard was Standing for Women, who are also seeking donations as it happens. And selling some lovely tees. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify.

Bespin · 24/09/2018 23:04

I mean you could donate to a bill board that gets taken down or you could always donate to groups that are supported to help young people. but of. course poeple can always donate to what they want

BesmirchingMotherhood · 24/09/2018 22:57

They’re very nearly at £7k.

GladAllOver · 24/09/2018 14:45

My friend has had trouble with moles in her lawn - bumps all over it.
I hope she isn't going to hurt them. Fair Play for Moles I say, especially the female ones. I wonder if there is a donation site for them?

Molokonono · 23/09/2018 17:47

I bumped off some perfectly healthy specimens today.

Weeds - not humans.

Noqont · 23/09/2018 14:50

Lol I'd rather set fire to my cash then pass any of it to mermaids.

HawkeyeInConfusion · 23/09/2018 13:54

Is it really that easy?

Either go on crowdfunder and look for #HandsOffMyRights
or
Go onto the FairPlayForWomen website, click the little 'donate' button at the top, then the button saying 'Donate via PayPal now'

Is it no more complicated than that?

Gosh. How easy.

GladAllOver · 23/09/2018 09:53

Sunday morning in a good time for a bit of bumping. :)

Molokonono · 23/09/2018 09:19

offs, this is the second thread that has made me want to vomit tonight, which person mentioned the choppy seas...

Sorry - still getting over my trip...bumpy very bumpy.

owlonabike · 23/09/2018 00:27

Ooh, I’m quite impressed with myself. I am terrible for forgetting passwords but have just managed to use one without having to look it up. Can’t remember where I used it though...

*life-changing

GladAllOver · 22/09/2018 23:30

you could donate to charities that run groups that actually help young people or even any other lgbt orginasations that use the funds to help vunrable people.

You mean by keeping them away from creepy organisations that persuade vulnerable children to have unnecessary life-charging chemical treatments? Yes, that's an excellent idea Bespin!

FloralBunting · 22/09/2018 22:46

Women, feel free to donate your money to as many different organizations as you wish. There are many that help vulnerable young people. (Be careful they aren't actually creepy grooming groups though, that would be a waste of money)

I hear Fair Play For Women are quite a useful bet for a donation, though, as they wish to protect the rights of women and girls, which is a very worthy cause.

Does anyone know if they have a fundraiser at the moment?

Bespin · 22/09/2018 22:46

barnardos run some great groups for lgbt young people, I'd start with them.

LangCleg · 22/09/2018 22:42

Do you know any such groups, Bespin? Ones that don't put vulnerable young people at risk by ignoring safeguarding frameworks, I mean?

I mean you could donate money to pay for a inflatable penis man and a billboard that no one sees. or you could donate to charities that run groups that actually help young people or even any other lgbt orginasations that use the funds to help vunrable people.
