Are there ANY political parties that stand for women?

I am a woman. I am a woman who feels threatened by men invading private spaces, I am worried for my young daughters being exposed to all this brainwashing woke shite, I'm worried for the future of women and society as a whole. Who will stand for me politically as a woman? I was briefly a labour supporter after a late in life interest in politics but don't feel I can support a party who don't support me and my rights as a woman. I am politically homeless now and am angry that my right to vote is negated by the lack of a party who will stand for women. Is there a party out there that's prepared to stand up for women, stand up against the brainwashing, stand up against the oppression of women, stand up against a society that's going backwards? Is there a party who is brave enough to tackle the issues head on and not be afraid to call out the misogynists who now have a new stick with which to beat us?

I had high hopes for the Whigs a couple of years ago, they seemed to be what people were looking for. But they have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Mind you, I suspect they would have been all for self id, As their buzz word was "progressive". Which isn't a bad thing in its self, but 'progressive' is how self id is sold without question.

I wish a centre ground party would get going and pledge to beef up sex-based exemptions in the EA 2010.

ILuvBirdsEye · 13/09/2018 06:52

I read (or glanced at) an article that said several new centre ground parties are forming or being resurrected as the main ones have moved further left/right and lib-dem is wasted.

No idea who they are. Will try and have a hunt for the article. May be worth checking what their policies are.

Another one, politically homeless.

I recently unsubscribed from the Momentum newsletter when they made a big deal out of some trans issue or another. I just wish they’d had a box to say why I’m unsubscribing.

I’m fucking sick of this shit.

Has there ever been? Has there ever been any men who don't view women as an exploitable resource? Really?

Agree

HereItIsNow

The WEP is unable to be clear on the fact that people with XY chromosomes and a penis are not women. So that's a NO too.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 13/09/2018 05:12

No. It's become increasingly apparent that none of them do.

WrongOnTInternet · 13/09/2018 03:33

If you live in a marginal seat where the MP is hanging on by the skin of their teeth, and a rival is already building up support to topple them - you have some leverage. You say to both sides:
"Not only will I not vote for your party, but I will actively campaign against you, amongst my friends, neighbours, colleagues and networks, in this constituency. I will tell them to vote for X (where X is their rival)" Grin

In marginals, every vote counts for the ambitious prospective MP and the loss of votes is a worry for the sitting MP.

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 13/09/2018 00:21

Well I'm depressed now. Deciding who to vote for at the next election is going to be dreary.

ShrodingersSturdyPyjamas · 13/09/2018 00:18

Nope.

Bolloxio · 13/09/2018 00:18

Nope. Hereitisnow WEP don't stand for women either, sadly.

UpstartCrow · 13/09/2018 00:14

The Women's Equality Party say trans women are women, so no.

Hereitisnow · 13/09/2018 00:11

There is, actually, the Women's Equality party, founded by Sandi Toksvig. And that is just about all I know about it. :)

Here is the Wikipedia link for it: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women's_Equality_Party

ItsLikeNew · 13/09/2018 00:08

nope

Also in the cardboard city of the politically homeless.

MnerXX · 13/09/2018 00:05

No - politically homeless Sad

deepwatersolo · 13/09/2018 00:02

No. Given that the name ‚women‘s party‘ is taken ( by people centering males) it might be worth founding an adult human females‘ party.

MsBeee · 12/09/2018 23:52

nope, I'd start one if i wasn't so knackered and was healthy

IdahoJones · 12/09/2018 23:51

No.

ToeToToe · 12/09/2018 23:41

No.

Join the politically homeless cardboard box city with the rest of us. We're quite nice.

BettyFloop · 12/09/2018 23:36

No. Sorry. Some people will tell you that UKIP don't support this bollocks. But UKIP is hardly a friend to women in most other regards.
