I'm not on Twitter, arranfan - but thanks for that link. From that, it seems that UCU did vote to support self-ID (the person has tweeted about the vote). They didn't think to consult their female members. They can go and fuck themselves. I'm not paying £26 a month to a union that doesn't represent me.

I wonder what they would have done if they'd had some "moving contributions" from female rape victims, women sacked for being pregnant and left without any support etc and generally considered other issues where women are disadvantaged.
