Same here. I was a 'regular' MN user, but because of FWR my eyes were opened.

People like 'me' won't be reached on other sites.

boatyardblues

Totally agree with your post. (And not just because you used the word rum).

Whether green is genuine or not, splinter groups can be extraordinarily effective, in terms of grassroots activism.

So yes, great.

But on mumsnet it's a different kind of activism. It reaches an inordinate number of people.

There is zero point in cutting off any avenue.

It's not an either/or.

And anyone who is advocating for that, would be suspect, in my opinion.

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 18:33

To be fair, young, HSTS transsexuals are also at risk of predatory AGP types.

I don’t blame Hudson for not wanted to be lumped in with the rapists.

I guess that’s why Hudson was such an appealing test case? Looks good on instagram, doesn’t say rapey things about lesbians (because TH fancies men), wasn’t in for a sex crime and although the crime was violent, the sentence was short and it wasn’t inflicted on a female victim.

So yes, looks like TH was used.

Will be interesting to see if TH pushes back against TH’s users in the upcoming court case (although at this point the only saving grace for TH is the prospect of compensation, so I doubt TH will want to risk that, which is understandable, considering the clusterfuck TH has been dragged into).

boatyardblues · 11/09/2018 18:28

I skipped 2 pages to post & now see everyone else made the same points as me. 🤷‍♂️

boatyardblues · 11/09/2018 18:25

There are some uncensored social media sites such as MeWe and GAB. Unless an all-women network is set up I suggest that we resume the discussion there.

I feel that I have to point out that Green is a recent arrival. Wouldn’t it be just peachy if all the GC stalwarts here fucked off to another site out of sight and the FWR threads shrivelled, led by the pied piper? To be honest, I thought plugging PeachYoghurts alternative site on here was a bit rum. I thought I discerned a dip in activity for a few days after. We can’t afford to be split and driven into smaller and smaller units. One of the true strengths of MN is its visibility and reach. I can work around MN’s rules and still get my point across. Free, uncompelled speech is important but we also need to get our message out to the public fast & MN is proving to be a useful resource right now.

See, middle class woke bros, this is what happens when you try and appropriate a working class, sex worker’s actual lived experience for your political aims.

This^^

Let me see if I've got this right. Tara Hudson has been saddled up by Cerian Jenkins, TELI, her local MP and Caroline Lucas in order to gallop in a change in the law?

www.carolinelucas.com/latest/caroline-tara-hudson-must-be-moved-to-a-female-prison-immediately

That change in the law has led directly to a paedophile sex offending rapist assaulting four incarcerated women.

Tara has been hung out to dry. And after embarrassing herself on national telly has finally snapped and had a go on Twitter.

They will eventually see you for what you are/realise their lives are no better for your intervention and you will lose all control of the narrative.

Tara is a twit. But Tara could look mighty purdy in a photo and was the ideal candidate to change the law.

My cynicism knows no bounds.

Is everyone in this sorry state of affairs a user?

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 16:46

On balance, I think I quite like Tara.

Can you imagine Tara and Stephen Whittle in the pub?

theOtherPamAyres · 11/09/2018 16:43

Imagine the unease creeping over the barristers taking the Gender(sic) discrimination case to the High Court.

It may be unwise to put TH (with complex mental health, alcohol misuse and anger management issues) anywhere near a judge.

I saw an interview with TH and TH's mum on the local news, upon release from prison. Not having had time to dress up, put on a face of make-up, and having taken a little bit too much of the hard stuff, he was ....er... let's just say 'difficult to interview' and stormed off, waving V signs.

doedoe90303811 · 11/09/2018 16:24

Tara seems quite straightforward. Tara likes sex with men.

Quite easy to understand.

Some of these other characters with their nappies & their jelly wrestling and whatever ? God knows.

doedoe90303811 · 11/09/2018 16:22

Tara seems to slag off quite a lot fellow transwomen. Not much solidarity going on:

"Dannii Dixon 🍾 🔞
After that girl died at elite in Turkey I wholely disapprove of butchering your body in the name of vanity!! Especially trans women who are suppose to be role-models (coughs - Paris lees) people need to accept their born beauty...... 💖"

Presumably plastic tits are ok, but anything more than is just vanity, lol.

It's apparently £60 for 20 minutes web cam, according to Dannii's Twitter. More knitting, I presume.

Seems to be assuming this girl's pronouns as well.

"Just seen a boy around 16 with his mates in McDonald’s wearing a dress 👗 no fucks given!! My my how the world is changing"

KatVonSweet · 11/09/2018 16:20

I'd love a full TA big brother.

It would be amazing.

Tara wolf
Paris lee
Shon whatever
India again
Lily of course.

KatVonSweet · 11/09/2018 16:17

I think Tara is very brave and stunning for dealing with all that sticky mess.

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 16:17

I’d love for Jane Fae and Tara Hudson to be on Big Brother together...

*twitter

I missed the crucial word.

doedoe90303811 · 11/09/2018 16:15

I can only imagine that all the publicity did Tara's career no end of good.

Seems to be quite a good niche all-in-all.

KatVonSweet · 11/09/2018 16:15

I was just checking out old "dannii's"..... my goodness they do seem to get horny a lot. Busy bees. Grin

doedoe90303811 · 11/09/2018 16:12

Dannii/Tara has a profile on 'onlyfans' where you pay $20/month for videos + photos. i can only assume that they are not Tara doing her knitting.

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 16:02

OlennasWimple · 11/09/2018 15:52

Not a porn star, perhaps, but a "TV chat host" for channels like Playboy and a prolific glamour model . Thin line, thin line...

R0wantrees · 11/09/2018 15:11

There is so much happening at the moment. TUC have just voted to support gender self-id:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3362478-After-some-very-moving-contributions-TUC-unanimously-supports-gender-self-declaration

It does seem that there has been increased attempts to smear WPUK & Fairplay for Women by those with iconsiderable influence.

The risks of gender self-id for vulnerable women in prison matter a great deal.

VD Show was important.
Melissa Briscoe and Nicola William's contributions were really important.
So, perhaps were Tara Hudson's (for different reasons)

I hope this thread won't be pulled.
There's a lot on here that matters.

doedoe90303811 · 11/09/2018 15:05

So Tara seems to be a very angry, er, woman.

She is complaining that she is getting more attention for this than if she had put the man in a coma. Which no doubt she could being a proper lady-like head-butter.

She seems to have missed the part where she sued the government in February then appeared on TV to discuss this stuff.

She also wants you to know that she's absolutely a qualified makeup artists and not at all a porn star, oh no, not in any way.

Green
You are behaving like a person who arrives 3 hours late to a party and begins lecturing the other party goers on their views which she doesn't know, having missed the conversations by being late.

In case you haven't realised, you are preaching to the fucking choir here.

None of us capitulate to bullying from TRAs.
We're on here because of the platform.

How are you going to get your million women to hear you and rise up with you if the only platform you have is your own broom cupboard?

I'm not about to critique another posters politeness, she's navigating the rules like us all, and we're all at different parts of our journey.

What do you want here?
For is all to agree that certain named individuals are men? Of course I agree!

Is it worth every gender critical feminist here getting banned from the biggest open gender critical online platform that is actually influencing the legislation under which we live to prove our credentials to you?

No!

Join a secret online group to do your venting. That's where I get to call people men. I do it here, I'm gone, and same for us all.
