Because let's be honest, we'll need it.

To answer a question from the last thread.

Some of Stonewall's LGB / bullying materials are really good. How can they jeopardise this work by ignoring safeguarding in this way?

Because poor Aimee had no idea that any of it was real and believed her convicted animal abuser and had no possible reason to think he was set up and entirely honest. And anyway she had no idea of how serious the accusations were. Poor Aimee.

Red executive producer?

RedToothBrush · 06/09/2018 23:44

Oi.

Make sure you properly credit the idea. Wink

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 06/09/2018 23:39

"Off tits on wokeness" is brilliant!

I'm very anti drugs - on several morally superior bases, most notably not wanting to see women and children killed in trafficking - but even I would prefer actual grade A hard stuff to the dangerous moral superiority wokeness narcotic that is flooding the veins of terminally beardy enby zombies who are eating the critical thinking part of the brains of our young.

Oooh I'm selling this to BBC 3 as a youf horror series...

arranfan · 06/09/2018 23:06

I applaud Theo Simon tho' he and Darren are a bit late to the party but...

How did they not notice this disaster before now? Is Verita genuinely going to discover that there is no meaningful oversight at all?

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 06/09/2018 22:27

everyone goes 'oh man, how enlightening' cos their all off their tits on wokeness

Yeah this I think. Moral superiority, the 21st-century LSD

LangCleg · 06/09/2018 22:17

trans furry adult baby identity

If Wings Over Scotland were to do some new polling and ask whether trans furry adult babies should be allowed to change legal sex via self-identification of gender, do we think the 18% figure in support of general self-ID would go up or down?!

(I have tried to make myself say the words trans furry adult baby identity out loud but I just can't do it. You lot try and report back!)

OlennasWimple · 06/09/2018 22:02

Notice how few screeches of "bigotry! Burn him!" there are on Theo Simon's Twitter feed....? This is why we need more men to stick their necks out and say this stuff

HawkeyeInConfusion · 06/09/2018 21:52

Well done Theo Simon. Thank you for speaking out.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 06/09/2018 21:45

I love Theo! Thank you!

I noted the reaction of one Lily (not that one) who ran the full gamut of teenage rage: "I hate you! Why do you hate meeee?! Fuck you, I never want to talk to you again!"

These people really are just over privileged spoilt brats who've never yet had any adult stand up to them. They're still working off the playbook that got them to Kevin's party when they were 15 - "if I can't go, I'll kill myself and it'll all be your fault!"

And this has been how policy is determined.

theOtherPamAyres · 06/09/2018 21:38

Fanfare, trumpets sound.

There is an amazing thread from a senior Green, Theo Simon (Frome, Somerset).

It moved me. I can't believe how fast this giant tanker is being pulled around towards a u-turn. Or how the green TRAs are being handed their arses on a plate.

Thanks Mumsnet.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 21:30

Lol, probably.
It's sad, too, because the amount of mental energy people spend on empty virtue signalling and problematizing common sense/policing behaviour you would think we could have solved the problem of those giant garbage islands. I would much rather be talking about that, instead of trying to convince these dweebs that biological sex is still a real thing that matters. And we're all only having to do this because these idiots are trying to introduce actual laws that say it doesn't..................

RedToothBrush · 06/09/2018 20:59

How do these students get degrees?

Why do media companies pay for essays in utter drivel?

Do they just enter some key words into an app and the app randomly generates an 'essay' in bullshit featuring all the correct buzz words.

And then everyone goes 'oh man, how enlightening' cos their all off their tits on wokeness when maybe they would have been better taking recreational drugs instead?

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 06/09/2018 20:57

What the flipperty flip are "marginalized genders"?

These kids all seem to think nobody before then actually did anything about injustice in the world. Or they equate their campaigns for other middle class people to have the right to use zie as a pronoun to suffering imprisonment, death, torture etc for the right to vote / organizer workers' rights / choose a partner etc

arranfan · 06/09/2018 20:52

Hannah Clare, head of Young Greens, writing in Huffington Post on International Women's Day, by fighting for marginalised genders.
Stop trying to change the world and put your own house in perfect order first.

I'm sure those young women would be shocked at their resemblance to Dickens Mrs Jellaby.

Many find their double in the London of Bleak House, where she goes by the name of Mrs Jellaby. Mrs Jellaby, you recall, practises that modern virtue so aptly named by Dickens as 'telescopic philanthropy', a burning, all-consuming, passion to do good at great distance. Oblivious of her children, one of whom has its head firmly lodged in the area railings, Mrs Jellaby is met enthusing on her project for 200 other families to cultivate coffee and educate the natives of Barrieboola-Gha. Source

Additional longer discussion of this character: Mrs. Jellyby and the Domination of Cause

In the book’s postscript, we learn that the Borrioboola-Gha project failed after the local king sold the project’s volunteers [impoverished Britons] into slavery in order to buy rum. Far from being deterred by this grim outcome, Mrs. Jellyby quickly finds another cause to occupy her time, “a mission with more correspondence than the old one,” thus providing new vistas for a permanent campaigner.

While few in the peace movement so radically neglect those in their care, unfortunately I cannot think of Mrs. Jellyby merely as a gross caricature. When my wife and I talked about her recently, we could think of several people, of both sexes, resembling her in many details: people with a certain legitimate concerns and noble goals who engage themselves so fully that their fixation wrecks havoc in the lives of those around them, driving many people they intended to influence, even their own sons and daughters, in the opposite direction.

hilbobaggins · 06/09/2018 20:40

theOtherPamAyres when I read that kind of crap I really do think there’s something in Jordan Peterson’s “ tidy your room” message. Stop trying to change the world and put your own house in perfect order first.

theOtherPamAyres · 06/09/2018 20:29

I've noticed something annoying about careerists in the 'Young' wings of all our major parties. I have challenged a few in the Green Party about it.

They say: "I am fighting for...I am fighting against...I am passionate about x and I won't let this happen".

I say: "How are you "fighting"? What have you done so far? What do you mean by "fighting"?

Here's an example. Hannah Clare, head of Young Greens, writing in Huffington Post on International Women's Day, by fighting for marginalised genders. Vacuous.

ArkeNOTen · 06/09/2018 18:31

Nice, thanks. I'll sleep better for that!

AnchorMum · 06/09/2018 17:48

Red thanks for the brilliant analysis - I find it really helpful in trying to understand the bigger picture.

doedoe90303811 · 06/09/2018 17:43

I assume by the way those are just random people in the mall, and in itself if people are a bit shy and like to go out in public in animal costumes than good luck to them, but when they identify as adult babies as well and everything is linked to fetish, it's all rather blurred.

doedoe90303811 · 06/09/2018 17:42

" At th risk of tmi can someone enlighten me on ‘furry’?"

A furry is someone who role plays that they are a cute animal. Lots of it takes place online using anime-style drawings

Aimee's half-sibling attached in their fur suit.

Looks cute, but slightly disturbing when those involved role play (privately, presumably) as adult babies.

There's a sort of cross over between furry and adult baby as a 'babyfur', so the babyfur anime character might be pictured wearing a nappy or whatever, and the adult owner will have fetishes about wetting themselves in a nappy & so on, as well as talking in babytalk to their 'master' while pretending to be an animal

"I find this very disturbing. Both that two half-brothers were "inducted" by this individual (hopefully not at the same time), and the age differences and power differences involved."

Well yes.

At the time Aimee was not yet identifying as female, and was in contact with MANY significantly older men and transwomen (beastly ciswomen strangely absent, funny that). The 14yo Aimee (who wasn't yet Aimee), was invited to guest blog on 'My Adult Baby Diaper Life' by a man 11 years older than them, and has Skype contact and what not with different men through these various sites.

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/09/2018 17:35

Thanks doedoe

Here's where I saw the A/K/N connection, also saw it elsewhere stated by Aimee but can't find it now

MyAuntyBadger - no, none of them.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/09/2018 17:22

Fiona's role in all of this is quite unclear but seems to help younger people find their true trans furry adult baby identity

I find this very disturbing. Both that two half-brothers were "inducted" by this individual (hopefully not at the same time), and the age differences and power differences involved.

Complaining about blocked sites. I once tried to use Mumsnet in a school and it was blocked.

And this wasn't personal use either, I wanted to use it in a lesson.
