A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

I'd say that hand lotion would also be a safe investment bet, Lang.

404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:23

My apologies, I was mistaken when I was talking about straight razor blades, I meant DE but wasn't sure what the correct term was. Straight blades are possible, but wouldn't have the same effect, I'd assume.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 23:23

Despite linking to DE blades early in this thread, 404 then thought it was "big, cut throat blades like in barbers"

If a sticker big enough to conceal one of those fits in Shon Faye's hands then they must be massive. Which would be odd, as Shon looks like a fairly small person.

Icantreachthepretzels · 05/09/2018 23:22

But it wasn't you that spoke to the police? You are only reporting back what these two people said the police said, right? So second hand information, with no corroboration that the police were ever really spoken to.

And if we know there's no cctv in a public toilet - and 'and stuff' isn't very police - sounding ... what you're actually going by is the factually incorrect statement of a person on the internet.

Do you even know these people in real life? Or are they just twitter friends (i.e complete strangers)

HerFemaleness - I'm sure I;m being dumb and missing something, but where does Charlotte, North Carolina come into it?

LangCleg · 05/09/2018 23:22

And once again, I find myself pondering my belief that Kleenex will never go out of business for no apparent reason.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 23:21

I've got some that are neon colored?

(Plasters, not razors. Most people don't carry the latter around.)

Turph · 05/09/2018 23:21

I mean what's the chances of that happening?
OMG I'm triggered. I was so sure it had happened! Now I'm doubting myself because:

It's an old urban myth
The chance of the "wrong person" getting hurt is very high
There are no injuries consistent with a razor blade behind fingernails (yes I cringed writing it too)
Despite linking to DE blades early in this thread, 404 then thought it was "big, cut throat blades like in barbers"
Barbers don't use these
Now it's DE blades..?
Even if someone was to place razors behind stickers they're likely to hurt themselves doing do
CCTV will show nothing
Unless you can pinpoint the exact time a sticker was placed, and know this for certain, and there's only one person in the whole toilet facility at that time, and you can somehow identify them from CCTV and you're willing to spend this much time on it because OMG sticker, this is a non story full of lies, and the police are going to have to put up with a massive amount of online screeching about it...

theOtherPamAyres · 05/09/2018 23:20

I have a stinging, bleeding paper cut on my thumb. Ouch!

It's really hard to get these stickers off their backing paper without cutting myself.

Nurse! Can I have a Peppa Pig plaster, please.

404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:20

I looked at Snopes, the safety razor in my hand, and a razor blade store. It's fairly easy.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 23:20

I'm a little concerned about where certain people may have acquired their encyclopedic knowledge of how to use razor blades of various types to hurt people. Don't think I really want to engage with someone with those sorts of interests.

Where is CMPD? PD presumably standing for Police Department.

UnderHerEye · 05/09/2018 23:18

Yes of course gender critical feminists are putting razor blades behind stickers in an attempt to stop people taking them down. . . .

. . . CHINNY RECKON

404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:18

HerFemaleness Nope. Stuff can happen outside of North Carolina.

Icantreachthepretzels I'm just going by what the police said.

TheCraicDealer · 05/09/2018 23:18

The naivety of some of the posters on that twitter thread- they find a razor blade behind an evil sticker stuck up by their nasty middle aged foes and they don't think to take a picture of said sticker or their injury in situ? Imagine the value of that type of contemporaneous image. Guys. Come on. Use a bit of sense.

Even assuming the logistics of sticking individual razor blades to walls using penis shaped stickers was realistic (one would think there'd be a rectangle outline which would be a giveaway) it's not stickerwoman or her supporters' style. Not only are they intended to be a peaceful but uncompromising message, but GC feminists are aware that the sticker-scrapping job in a women's loo is only too likely to be carried out by a cleaner or low level employee who's likely to be (you guessed it) female. Not a chance they'd do this.

NameChangedAgain18 · 05/09/2018 23:17

are you this credulous in every walk of life?

I highly doubt it’s credulity.

Icantreachthepretzels · 05/09/2018 23:16

also - what is 'and stuff'?

Are the met going to be out fingerprinting the ladies, now Grin

HerFemaleness · 05/09/2018 23:16

Secondly, while I admit geography is not my strong point, Oxford Road Station is rather a long way from Charlotte, North Carolina, no?

Care to revise your opinion, 404NameNotFound?

Icantreachthepretzels · 05/09/2018 23:15

Well - if they said they went to the police, on twitter no less, then that must absolutely have happened mustn't it?
There is no cctv inside public toilets.
are you this credulous in every walk of life?

404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:12

Eryn and Zoey have both said stuff about the police, and been satisfied when it was said that there was cctv and stuff, so even if it's not a GC doing it, I don't think it was them.

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 05/09/2018 23:10
  1. I do hope no one was actually hurt.
  1. I can’t see a rad fem/GC doing this.
  1. What happens to false crime reports?
404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:09

(or that same design)

404NameNotFound · 05/09/2018 23:09

These seem to be the ones placed behind the fascist stickers: www.shaving-shack.com/10-derby-extra-and-10-israeli-made-double-edged-razor-blades.html

WarmWishes · 05/09/2018 23:09

It's so weird that a 'TERF' put that sticker hiding the blade up and managed to wound her presumed target, a transgender woman. I mean what's the chances of that happening?

I mean, when you think about it, the toilets at the train station will be regularly cleaned. Numerous members of the public could be offended by a willy sticker...like anyone of a religious or conservative nature, people who hate stickers, Lorena Bobbit and wish to remove it, it wasn't even removed by an amused or curious child. No! In spite of trans people being a tiny proportion of the population, somehow it was a trans person that found and removed the sticker.

Plus, it's the first reported sticker in Manchester too, so quite a shock that the first one to be found has been put up by not just any old TERF but full on lunatic, psycho TERF.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 23:08

If I'm being entirely honest, I do live in a house made of confectionery and sweet baked goods.

Not so much "made in" as "full of". Is it my fault that my dad brought me sweets when he came to visit?
