A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

Its late, so just checking I have this straight:-

Zoey - lives in USA. Reported to a business owner that they had been badly hurt by razor blade hidden behind a sticker they were removing. Reluctantly later reported incident to CMPD - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. No hospital treatment required, just disinfectant - ouch, must have hurt. Has photos but refusing to post any because mums netters are reading their twitter. Currently revelling in new found twitter followers suggesting they should do leg pics (?).

Meanwhile, Erin in the UK - posts a warning of razor blades under stickers all over Manchester Oxford Road train station but doesn't report this to the police (were these stuck in public toilets, i don't recall this being specified?). Someone else replies to Erin's tweet and tags in Gtr Manchester BT Police who respond asking for further details and they will investigate. I've had a quick google and I can't see police warnings about this which is a bit concerning given the danger - nothing on either their twitter or ManchesterOxfordRoad twitter feeds. Erin later posts photos of Erin's left hand fingers saying "my hands are fine". Anyone notice Erin doesn't actually say anything about how or when the cuts across those fingers actually happened. Good to see they're healing nicely though.

Immaculate conceptions, every one. Obviously.

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 01:21

*I know there are non-parents on Mumsnet, and you are most welcome. But damn. That article was unbelievable. "Women talking about sex and politics?! We thought you only talked talked about prams!"

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 01:18

It's worse than the other lie that has doing the rounds - that Mumsnet is content blocked because it's a "hate group". Bollocks. Mumsnet is content blocked because we swear, talk about sex, anatomy, porn, bumsex at centreparks, and have a sex topic.

There was a hilarious DM piece a while back that expressed shock that women talked about sex on mumsnet. How the fuck do the think most of us ended up on mumsnet?? By having sex, you doofuses.

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 01:11

Erin has just posted they're "too anxious" to go the BTP.

Surprise. But don't worry - they're looking into it anyway. One of your kind friends tipped them off. But it didn't happen, did it.

Datun · 06/09/2018 01:09

It's a bit: 'I have a boyfriend, you don't know him, he's at another school, in another town you've never heard of, we kiss all the time.'

Haha. Exactly.

It's the equivalent of showing off, like, all your lovebites - which all happen to be on your upper arm.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 01:05

Do you ever feel kind of embarrassed for TRAs?

thecatfromjapan · 06/09/2018 01:00

Honestly.

The whole: 'Yeah, the police came and they were like yeah ... no ... yeah ... no fingerprints on the sticker, no ctv ... yah ... no ....'

It's a bit: 'I have a boyfriend, you don't know him, he's at another school, in another town you've never heard of, we kiss all the time.'

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 00:59

I guess women concerned about the current consultation in the UK are meant to have flown out to the US to put stickers in public toilets there despite the British government not much caring what Americans think about their consultation.

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:59

AngryAttackKittens
I think you might be right

thecatfromjapan · 06/09/2018 00:57

But these twitter people are based in the US?

I'm confused.

I checked because I was going to make a police complaint on their behalf.

Just in case somehow it hasn't made its way to the police, despite (seemingly) having been reported.

The Manchester thing never.happened.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 00:55

Friend of mine just pointed out that the individual with the pink hair looks remarkably like a grown up version of the alarming child in this image. (Tagline when it was posted was "fetch me a TERF").

Oxford Road isn’t very far from Media City, perhaps the BBC will do a report...

Razor blades and stickers again
Staffori · 06/09/2018 00:45

I was in that particular station Wednesday morning, went to the loo and all. Did not see a single sticker anywhere. So they certainly weren't "all over Machester Oxford Road station" between about 9 and 9.30 am.

I call BS.

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 00:43

Erin is very unlucky - this isn’t even the first time that Erin has found a razor blade under a sticker!

Considering this has been doing the rounds as seemingly no more than urban myth for 4 decades, for Erin to have experienced it twice at the tender age of 19 - well, life isn’t fair!

Statistically, you’d think cleaners and janitors would be way more likely to be hurt this way* than 19 year old transgender people?

*which is why feminists would never even consider doing it.

Yambabe · 06/09/2018 00:42

Even Shon peeled off from a corner. In one of their photos you can see that the first corner they tried didn't lift and was left mangled and unpeeled!

If the corner lifts you grip it with thumb and finger in a pincer movement to do the rip away, you don't run the tips of all your fingers across it. Hmm

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:39

Brilliant sorry

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:39

The worrying thing is that now they are going to try harder next time, maybe a staged pic, or fake blood, and it will be a massively viral image. We've basically told them where they've gone wrong!
This has been a brilliance thread though.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 00:38

I used to think my excuses for doing stuff I wasn't supposed to as a child were a bit shit, but compared to this...

Datun · 06/09/2018 00:36

Astonishing that these kids who photograph their every waking moment, can't manage to photograph a razor blade behind a sticker.

These twits are utter children. My eight year old nephew could come up with something more plausible.

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2018 00:34

Betty

Shon Faye can lend them one.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 06/09/2018 00:30

Am reminded of Monty Python, Holy Grail film, the "Burn the witch" bit!

TRA and MRA delusions and confusion!

We know what women are. We are women. No other descriptor necessary.

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 00:24

They’ll need a ruddy big handbag.

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 00:23

"A cheap spade" is being recommended on twitter at the moment for dangerous sticker removal. Sorry, but Grin
