DS just saw me looking at a photo of Linda outside court and wanted to know what it was about.

I explained that a silly little person had decided to accuse someone of being bigoted towards minorities - and the person they'd accused was a black, Jewish, lesbian woman in her 60s.

DS (who is only 10) is stunned by this.

He said "so this person is being sexist and racist and... and has brought a court case?"

He suggests that the silly little person takes their court case and shoves it up their... (at this point he paused in case mummy told him off for swearing Grin - but I think we can safely assume it's somewhere where the sun don't shine).

Linda - even my 10 year old can see how insane this is!

This one Vicky. I struggled to choose between about 3 but I love the colours on this. I might buy the more recognisable stripped one when I have more money.

We weren't allowed to wear our suffragette sashes in the court, but great women, great to meet some lovely mnetters and many others from all over the country, and kudos to Linda and Venice. Grace under pressure. Smile

Perhaps @sandydrawsbadly could do a little modern cartoon version of this wonderful print from the Museum of London? With Venice, Linda, Posie etc. Would be fab.

Brilliant idea!

AssignedNorthernAtBirth · 26/09/2018 18:37

Linda's GFM is no longer accepting donations. If Linda or anyone close to her is reading, how can I send financial support?

VickyEadie · 26/09/2018 18:37

OvaHere - which one? I'm not sure which to choose!

Me too. I wanted to be there. I am so proud of them

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 18:17

Ooh thanks for the redbubble links. I've just treated myself to a lovely scarf.

I do like a nice scarf Grin

ArkeNOTen · 26/09/2018 18:16

I like a nice sash. In the fashion singular

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/09/2018 17:56

never thought I'd see the day when spotty students of any gender would accuse a woman wearing suffragette colours of hate crime and literal genocide. Bloody baby idiots.

VickyEadie · 26/09/2018 17:49

I work near a uni though so might be running the gauntlet at lunchtime.

NEVER thought I'd see the day when standing up for women was verboten!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/09/2018 17:39

Cool. I work near a uni though so might be running the gauntlet at lunchtime.

I'm going to mention again that Linda has tweeted the case comes back to the same court on 30 November...

I'm getting me some Suffragette stuff.

misscockerspaniel · 26/09/2018 17:20

Skepticat has just told me that Guiliana was self-representing in court. I thought there was a big name law firm involved

Interesting. S Chelvan of No5 Barristers' Chambers was instructed by G Kendal on this matter. Presumably, either Kendal couldn't afford the fees or didn't like the advice given.

ArkeNOTen · 26/09/2018 17:09

Museum of London have a whole suffragette range - including scarf, sash and umbrella

BertrandRussell · 26/09/2018 17:02

It says it's available as a handkerchief too- which might be suitable for hair tying- but I can't find details of size and stuff...

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/09/2018 16:59

Bertrand - shock, that boys stuff surely! I was holing for a scarf to tie up my hair with - or a dress.

ShowOfHands · 26/09/2018 16:58

She was wearing the Suffragette stripes.
