"Healthline Website Says the Term ‘Vagina’ Is No Longer Gender Inclusive – Will Start Using “Front Hole” Instead"

(Healthline is apparently a well regarded website in the US)
This image and comment screenshot is taken from a FB group which is one that is basically about good humoured fun at the crazy silliness found on the internet.

Today someone posted the healthline image. Started off with "this has to be satire, right?!" type comments, before this person waded in and everyone got all woke and deferential. Turns out "front hole" is "cis people's" idea??

I'll post the comment text (with anon names) in the next post for ease of reading.

It is entirely related to a male view of female bodies as existing for penetration.

Why others can't see that is beyond me.

And then we get the shit in the OP with who the fuck only knows saying that women are ASKING for this. That we are ASKING to be referred to as objects for men to stick their dicks in. Who the fuck do they think they are?

These words would be relevant for children as well - so girls anatomy would also be referred to in terms of them having penetratable orificies.

They can fuck off with this shit, seriosuly.

VickyEadie · 22/08/2018 11:46

What NothingOnTellyAgain said.

The notion that vagina is now a word for a surgically-created opening in some male bodies and natal-women have a "front hole" makes me simultaneously enraged and very frightened.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 22/08/2018 11:42

Why in that extract do they include the text

"A front hole may self-lubricate,
depending on age and hormones."

???

There is no similar text under the other ones.
It's about sex again isn't it. When men refer to older women being "shrivelled up" they are talking about our cunts. The whole thing is entirely dick and sex centred. What other reason could there be for helpfully pointin out that cunts get wet in their blurb? They don't point out that "Penises may become erect, depending on age and hormones" do they.

And why haven't they called "dick" "pokey sex stick" or something instead? Just to be consistent with the theme?

chitterchitter3322 · 22/08/2018 11:06

Sounds like you're playing a fucking game of golf or something.

Fucking stupid! No need, leave it as vagina!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 22/08/2018 11:01

Note "strapless" to be similar to "strap on" which ties into the idea that lesbians should take cock.

All about men and sex.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 22/08/2018 11:00

All of this, this whole movement centres on men and sex.

Who thinks a vagina is a front hole? It's only the front hole if you count holes by putting your cock in them.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 22/08/2018 10:58

Nope - front hole is for women. Vagina is for transwomen:

"DICK: We use this word to describe external genitals. Dicks come
in all shapes and sizes and can belong to people of all genders.
FRONT HOLE: We use this word to talk about internal genitals,
sometimes referred to as a vagina. A front hole may self-lubricate,
depending on age and hormones.
STRAPLESS: We use this word to describe the genitals of trans
women who have not had genital reconstruction (or “bottom
surgery”), sometimes referred to as a penis.
VAGINA: We use this word to talk about the genitals of trans
women who have had bottom surgery. "

from here

Front hole is not only biologically wrong it is geographically incorrect too.

Actually, that 'info' screenshot does not say anything about women. It refers - without mentioning them - only to trans people. So a transman might refer to their euphemisms as front hole and dick, because vagina and clitoris would be too triggering for them.

That poster is cis-exclusionary.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 21/08/2018 22:29

Is it sort of pre emptive damage limitation, as most women are pretty aghast when they see that info thing that says transwomen have vaginas and "cis" women have front holes?

The idea that women are keen to rebabel our fairly complex organs in line with what men see them as ("stick it in her hole") is ludicrous, yet they seem to believe it? Wow.

JellySlice · 21/08/2018 22:26

this has to be satire, right?!

Nope..*

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 21/08/2018 22:23

Gerbil that's shocking, wouldn't you like to transport yourself back to that office with a tampon stuffed up each nostril, clutching a box of tampons and bewildered look on your face?!

I once had a practice nurse try to make a child protection referral to me whilst doing my smear. I had to smile (not laugh though as I might've shot the speculum out and given her a black eye)Women are so brilliant at multi-tasking!

HotRocker · 21/08/2018 22:12

I went to the eye hospital today. The doctor said, ‘just let me have a look in your eye hole at your eye bollock.’
Turns out I’ve got high-pressure in my eye bollock. Better have an eye wank.

MipMipMip · 21/08/2018 22:08

I knew that meme thread would come in useful. Although this one was serious, not a meme.

Not only do we NOT want to our biological terms appropriated, apparently the new terms are our fault too...
WeAreGerbil · 21/08/2018 21:56

This was about 1997 I think. She asked me very nervously whether I used tampons to try and help me locate my poor neglected vagina. Then she asked me for careers advice connected with my job whilst fiddling around down there. It was a very odd experience!

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 21/08/2018 21:45

Oh Gerbil! A practice nurse once refused to give a smear test to a lesbian friend of mine (circa 1989), the nurse thought a lesbian vagina wouldn't be able to cope with a speculum. So she potentially risked my friend's health through imbecilic ignorance - staggering!

Front hole is a horrible term I agree. Also, my front hole is where I wee from, don't know about anyone else's?

thebewilderness · 21/08/2018 21:40

Birth canal for your vagina, if you have one. That'll really piss the authoritarian asshats off.

HotRocker · 21/08/2018 21:34

Lol, never had any problems locating it myself.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/08/2018 21:33

I can’t think of any medical or scientific name for a part of the body that uses the word hole

There's earhole, tbf.

WeAreGerbil · 21/08/2018 21:28

geographically incorrect Grin

I assumed front hole was your urethra. I had a family planning nurse tell me my vagina was my middle hole once as she thought I might not know where it was what with me being a lesbian Confused.

Front hole sounds so disgustingly pornographic, and it’s not even the frontest hole down there, in fact if you stand up it’s pretty much right underneath. Anyone who thinks it’s at the front has either never seen one, or has some oddly positioned anatomy. If I was a transwoman and a surgeon created that particular hole at the front, I’d be asking for my money back, and taking them to court.

I can’t think of any medical or scientific name for a part of the body that uses the word hole.
