LBC just had a gc female and a TRA on.

The topic moved to personal care and medical exams.

The TRA first said that there are male care assistants, gyno's and medical professionals anyway.

It was then pointed out that women have the right to ask for care from another woman.

The TRA then said that all woman want is a good standard of care.

Is it, is it, really. Thanks for mansplaining that to us Vicky. Problem solved. Women don't want care from other women.

I'm fuming, it's pure ignorance from TRA and shows they have no understanding of what it's like to be a bio woman.

Fuck off Vicky. I’ll decide who comes near my body, not you.

Correct. My elderly mum died last year but was entirely bedbound for the last 9 months of her life, requiring carer visits 4 times a day. They did the most personal of care for her.

Sometimes, one of them was male and she was horrified at the notion that she might have to have a man performing these actions. Each time, the male carer simply backed off when she (because my mum was still in her full wits and a strong woman despite dying slowly from appalling cancer) made her wishes clear, but you can imagine some women not being able to do so.

And yes - I know some doctors and nurses are male; however, there's a difference between trained health professionals and people recruited by private agencies as carers AND I maintain the right of any woman, even in hospital, to demand a female doctor or nurse.
