#stickerwoman further reported sightings on Sky and in Private Eye

womanformallyknownaswoman · 21/08/2018 02:06

unfortunately women everywhere are being forced to bite their lips for the sake of male feelings, while those same males are allowed to demolish our legal protections and our personal boundaries so that both are forcibly inclusive of dick.

YY - silencing women is complicity - under whatever guise

Ekphrasis · 20/08/2018 21:26

Looking forward to the first sticker on the angel of the north...

Ekphrasis · 20/08/2018 21:25

Facebook comments a mixed bag - this one- head >>>> desk.

(Clearly a lot of confusion by the public, mind you I probably would be if I hadn't been able to think it through via mn.)

"just checked their website and you're right; they say trans is an umbrella term and cross-dressers etc can self identify as being trans. Which is not the medical definition, so I don't know what that's all about or how comfortable the trans community (and cross dresser community) is with all that.

Leaving Stonewall definitions aside, the fact that anyone identifying as female wants to feel safe in women only/women friendly spaces in no way makes me feel insecure or more at risk."

Prevailing understanding seems to be that trans = operation etc. And that women must make way, as per usual.

But articles like this - littered with key labels such as phobic, purile, disgusting hatred - are persuasive to those looking to find out more. If I'd read this a few years ago I'd have been stumped. I may have googled more to try to understand.

Which is the utter genius of #stickerwoman. :)

Doobigetta · 20/08/2018 20:46

So according to Helen Pidd, the project I did aged nine on Where Babies Come From was in fact hate speech.
Well, she’s a fucking idiot then, isn’t she.

Wanderabout · 20/08/2018 20:42

Penis stickers also made page 5 of print version of The Sun, as 'Activists 'tiny willy' ambush on men.'

Lol

hackmum · 20/08/2018 20:29

If you go to the Guardian's Facebook page you can see the sticker article if anyone would like to comment on it. You need to scroll down a bit to see it:

www.facebook.com/theguardian/

It already has some monumentally stupid comments on it and a handful of decent ones.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 20/08/2018 17:50

It's a shit article. Although slightly less biased than the 2017 iteration of woke misogyny.

What's Helen's dog in the fight? Blue hair or cock-haver?

placemats · 20/08/2018 17:43

Helen Pidd who wrote this?

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jun/13/safety-women-cycling-roads

Roads designed by men are killing women – and stop millions from cycling

And this:

www.theguardian.com/world/2017/sep/01/cycling-weekly-apologises-token-woman-picture-caption

And I do recall reading an article Pidd wrote regarding getting sexist remarks whilst cycling, all from men. But I can't find it.

LangCleg · 20/08/2018 15:41

Well, that article does represent somewhat of a volte face, even if that volte face was the equivalent of getting blood from a stone.

It's by Helen Pidd, who wrote the disgraceful Guardian coverage about Lauren Jeska, which provided a nigh-on hagiography of Lauren. And which completely ignored Lauren's victim, a harmless man with the community spirit to volunteer in sports, in favour of implying Lauren's crime provided a justified warning to society about the unacceptability of "transphobia".

I've got a long memory, Helen, very long.

Oops Errol beat me to it!

Yeh placemats, unfortunately women everywhere are being forced to bite their lips for the sake of male feelings, while those same males are allowed to demolish our legal protections and our personal boundaries so that both are forcibly inclusive of dick.

Excellent point miri

Joan I'm shocked at the vileness and hatred of the person you describe.

(I have to be careful how I word things now as I've had a post deleted). Hope you understand.

BiologyIsReal · 20/08/2018 14:59

Also in print version of Daily Telegraph this morning but can't find it on the online version.

hackmum · 20/08/2018 14:56

I'm not on Twitter, but perhaps someone could point Helen Pidd in the direction of this thread?

miri1985 · 20/08/2018 14:55

If the same penis stickers said "Some women have penises" would they be offensive? Could stonewall etc take them down if they were exhibiting "trans pride" because honestly I think it would have the same impact on the general public.

If the stickers were plain white rectangular and said "women don't have penises", is that less offensive?

JoanSummers · 20/08/2018 14:52

Placemats - this person is easily one of the most disgusting people in the trans activist movement, absolutely transparent in their hatred of women and especially lesbian women. Yet The Guardian platforms Brown and other orgs censor women on Brown's behalf. And Brown plays on Brown's yacht and laughs at everyone.

JoanSummers · 20/08/2018 14:47

To add - despite Brown's repeated misogynist and anti-lesbian comments and behaviour the web forum Mumsnet, whose users are mostly women, insists that it's female users do not correctly pronoun Brown, because it would be impolite, or rude, or mean, or some other thing that nice ladies are not supposed to be, especially towards men.

placemats · 20/08/2018 14:44

So this person you describe Joan is a proponent of gay sexual correction and vile misogynist viewpoints?

JoanSummers · 20/08/2018 14:39

“These stickers are puerile and disgusting." said white non-female yacht owner Sarah "suck my formaldehyde pickled balls" Brown, who allegedly lives off a trust fund and is a member of the LibDemLGBT group, who the Liberal Democrats claim are not actually an official Lib Dem group.

Brown, a self-confessed expert on "the smegma-like mixture of dead skin cells, gynaecological lube, stale urine (gives it its distinctive smell) and sweat that is sometimes present as a white residue on the end of a dilation stent when a post-operative trans woman withdraws the stent after dilating her neovagina”, was speaking from Cambridge, where Brown recieved harsh criticism recently from local Councillor Ann Sinnott for misleading Cambridge Council about national legislation and pushing a local policy that breaks Equality Law and discriminates against women, in order to pacify non-female people who want everyone to pretend they are women lest they are driven to nervous breakdowns and suicide threats. Councillor Sinnott has now resigned in protest at the introduction of Brown's illegal and misogynist policy, after Cambridge Council put off dealing with it until later this year, leaving women at risk in the meanwhile.

Sarah Brown previously caused controversy in 2014 when Brown made several anti-lesbian and misogynist comments including that "lesbians must be sexually frustrated" and "vaginas are offputting", leading to lesbians staging a protest against Brown's appearance at that year's London Dyke March. Despite Brown's repeated misogynist and anti-lesbian comments and behaviour The Guardian still gives space for quotes by Brown as if they were a credible source.

placemats · 20/08/2018 14:16

Boys and men (yes, grown up men) have been drawing cocks (most erect) and balls for millennia.

But when women do it - hate speech! Call the police. Get the police involved in it and hunt those hateful women down.

What exactly are the police going to do once the women have been outed and caught? Put them in jail to make an example of them?

It all smacks of imprisoning women for having miscarriages and abortions.

Sadly there is no comments section on the Guardian article. They clearly don't want to know the publics opinion on this.

For those of you on Twitter, the Guardian have posted the article on there, and you can comment that way.
