Joining, pretending to be feminists and posting shitty stuff, screenshotting that stuff as proof of how 'transphobic' this forum is.

Message from MNHQ: Thanks to all who posted/reported this thread. The OP has now de-regged and we're unsure whether they're genuine or not so we thought it best to get rid.

I noticed this a few days back, but its been very obvious the past day or so, new members often posting actual transphobic things, then this being shared on twitter.

Pathetic I reckon, but they seem to think its effective Hmm

The only way inimical outsiders can make the forum unusable is if we stop talking to each other and waste spend all the time we spend on here dealing with them.

Just don't get distracted by people whose main aim is forum vandalism.

Yeah I report genuine transphobia anyway..it very very rarely comes from members who have been here for a while, the odd time yes, but not usually. Most of the dodgy posts come from new members, and with HQ saying that person dergistered right after posting...well...that proves a lot really.

As always, report genuinely hateful posts or suspected trolling to HQ.

Not much we can do about someone plopping on, saying something awful and screen shotting it.

There’s a tactic a week. In some ways the restrictions we have on what we can say here work in our favour because it makes people considered in what they can post. Or at least I try to see that as the bright side (it was interesting reading the different language and opinions on two almost identical threads here and in AIBU the other week though, they were certainly more, ahem, robust.) Grin

It’s a bit like painting the Forth Bridge...
