I may not share views with Jean, but at a time like this with news like that, it is not the time or place to discuss them.

I wish her well and given the sort of person she clearly comes across as I’m sure she’ll give the disease a run for its money.

Ovarian cancer hit my mother. It's the cancer that women and only women bear - don't tell me you know what it is like to feel like a woman if you don't have a woman's body. Just, no.

Jean is strong for other women and now she can put that strength into her own battle. All of us have special strength because we bear so much more. Men are sometimes afraid of that strength.

Oh no! Jean :/

Ovarian cancer is brutal. Please familiarise yourself with the symptoms - there is no screening test and symptoms are subtle (as Jean has found) so it’s rarely found early:
