Bloody hell. I became aware of Jean through the gc stuff and was chuffed to meet her in Truro. Best love Jean. Keep on riding xx

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 03/08/2018 15:28

Oh that's sad news. Sending love and solidarity.

OvaHere · 03/08/2018 15:25

This is so sad. Jean you are inspirational to all women. I wish you all the best. Flowers

LangCleg · 03/08/2018 15:20

Every single best wish I possess is winging your way, Jean. Flowers

RightOnTheEdge · 03/08/2018 15:19

I'm sorry, this is the first I have heard of Jean and her bike rides but I think it's an amazing thing to do so I have been to the Go Fund Me page and donated.

Sending my thoughts and best wishes to Jean and her family Flowers

FuriousFifties · 03/08/2018 15:08

No words, but I have a few pounds to send for some cycle miles Flowers

Bowlofbabelfish · 03/08/2018 15:06

Oh Jean I’m so sorry - that’s a rough diagnosis. I hope you get as much time on your bike as you can. Flowers may the wind be at your back.

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 03/08/2018 15:01

Cancer is a random bastard. Jean brings the names of women who've been erased by men back into public conciousness, by riding her bike. She is an inspiring woman and I'm wishing her all the best in her uphill slog against rogue cells.

TheRollingCrone · 03/08/2018 15:01

I have no words. Love to Jean and her family, she's a fierce Queen, keep riding.

SinkGirl · 03/08/2018 14:56

Sounds very much like my dear mums diagnosis who would have been 65 today. I’m so sorry to read this. This disease is so incredibly cruel. Thank you for spreading awareness at such a difficult time Flowers

Agerbilatemycardigan · 03/08/2018 14:55

Your comment made me cry Prawnofthepatriarchy Sad

I sent Jean my love and best wishes on Twitter earlier, and I'm sure she'll be very touched by all of the heartfelt comments and wishes on here too.

LeiaTheSlaya · 03/08/2018 14:52

Jean, your speech at the LAWT meeting really resonated for me. Your words were powerful and clear, and I thank you for the work you do for women. Thinking of you and your family at this time. Thanks

sexnotgender · 03/08/2018 14:29

What an utterly shit hand to be dealt Jean, I’m so sorry Flowers
You are truly an inspiration.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 03/08/2018 14:26

Flowers for you, Jean. Your work for murdered women has been an inspiration to me. You're a feminist star. Star

I send you strength and love to you, your sidekick and your daughter. My husband had cancer and that last year was the best in our happy marriage. All the minor stuff melted away. All that remained was love.

AnchorMum · 03/08/2018 14:24

Jean - your words and actions shine out with love, integrity and compassion. You are an inspiration to women everywhere.

Know that we are thinking of you and that our hearts are with you too Thanks
