Paedophile expert warns of transitioning as a ploy

Sorry that it's the Sun, but this article succinctly highlights the danger of allowing sex offenders to transition.

Women are not seen as dangers to children in the same way men are so what a good idea to become one.

The mother of a victim is calling for the law to prevent this.

Vicky

What is clear from the document is that it is entirely about the transgender issues and no LGB concerns at all. They throw a few comments in about being gay, but it is clear that it is not the focus of the document, or indeed the project. This is simply about indoctrinating children and teachers re the transgender idology, and doing it by stealth in not informing the parents. It's a fucking scandal.

They also have sections on how breast binders can be 'positive' while at the same time acknowledging that they can cause shortness of breath. It makes me so angry that they are encouraging girls to wear these contraptions which cause active harm and destroy their healthy young bodies.

LemonJello · 02/08/2018 11:24

Ultimately, what needs to be challenged, before anything else, is that exploring impact on others is not 'hostile towards trans people'

But it is. Because by definition, it involves splitting the population into the trans people and the people who aren’t trans. And you can’t assess impact on women as a separate group of transwomen ARE women. The ideology forbids it.

TransplantsArePlants · 02/08/2018 11:23

Some great stuff on this thread

Thank you

This in 90 foot neon lights.

VickyEadie · 02/08/2018 11:19

"Good practice If a transgender young person wants to share a room with other young people who share their gender identity, they should be able to do so"
If a transgender young person is sharing a room with their peers,
there is no reason for parents or carers of the other young people to be informed "

This section alone ought to have heads and governors slinging the entire document straight into the bin. WHO in their right mind would think this was anything other than alarming?

R0wantrees · 02/08/2018 11:18

@LangCleg have you seen the 'Trans Youth in Care Toolkit' ?

VickyEadie · 02/08/2018 11:17

"If it became an official policy position they should do an EQIA and I'm sure it would show that there isn't any negative impact on other pupils," he said.

I've been involved in EQIAs for schools. Here are just a few of the questions I'd expect to ask here:

  1. Would allowing boys to change and shower alongside girls involve risk of invasion of privacy for girls?
  1. Would allowing boys to change and shower alongside girls involve risk of exposure of girls to exposure of male genitals? How might this affect them?
  1. Would allowing boys to change and shower alongside girls involve risk of sexual assault?
  1. Would allowing boys to play sports with girls involve risk of injury to the girls?
  1. Would allowing boys to play sports with girls involve risk of damaging girls' self-esteem and lead them not to want to participate?

Hey - I'm sure it would show there is "negative impact on other pupils".

ThatDoctorEM · 02/08/2018 11:16

LangCleg yes, yes, yes!

The affirmation only approach and general secrecy is having a disasterous impact on safeguarding. This is a big concern, that there is no process or proposed process of preventing abuser infiltration.

I saw a social worker describe the current situation as 'shades of Rotherham' a few days ago.

LemonJello · 02/08/2018 11:16

The problem is, if your ideology is such that “transgirls are girls” then there can be no impact to assess. After all, one wouldn’t do an impact assessment on a girl using the girls changing room, would one?

To do any impact assessment would be to make a distinction, and would be saying transgirls are not girls. And we can’t be having that now! So let’s not bother and just say we’re sure it will be fine, sweep it all under the rug, don’t look under the rug, I said don’t look under the rug STAY AWAY FROM THE RUG...TRANSPHOBIA!!!!

What were we talking about again?

R0wantrees · 02/08/2018 11:15

@ThatDoctorEM

I'm going to start a separate thread re Social Work as think its very important.

TGBT School Document

www.lgbtyouth.org.uk/media/1344/supporting-transgender-young-people.pdf

Parents of children not inforned re sharing rooms
"Good practice If a transgender young person wants to share a room with other young people who share their gender identity, they should be able to do so"
If a transgender young person is sharing a room with their peers,
there is no reason for parents or carers of the other young people to be informed "

Parents of gender questioning children not told of 'confidences' in teachers'
" A transgender young person may not have told their family
about their gender identity. Inadvertent disclosure could cause needless stress for the young person or could put them at risk. Therefore, it is best to not disclose information to parents or carers without the young person's permission "

" Only in exceptional circumstances would a school need to give information about a young person's transition to other parents. This would require the permission of the young person or their parent(s)/carer(s)/legal guardian(s) (if under 16)"

There is no choice for parents but to adopt the approach outlined in the Charter
"Although, increasingly, parents and carers are supportive, some may react negatively at first. Sometimes this is because they have inaccurate or incomplete information about transgender identities or because they are worried about what it will mean for their child's future. Such reactions often stem from loving, and wanting to protect, their child.
If parents/carers are struggling to come to terms with their child's identity, teachers should make sure that there is a plan to support the young person in school. It may also be useful to approach the local authority for additional guidance. "

How is this protecting children? By imposing an ideology by stealth and not informing parents is they are sharing a room with a person of the opposite sex, or if their parent is confiding gender issues to a teacher. What makes the teachers God? Isn't this open season for abusive teachers to flourish?

re: Jessica Eaton's comment in Tweet above:

'every week social workers approach me about traumatised kids after abuse and traumasuddenly identifying as trans and SW being told to just affirm it rather than working through the trauma'

See resources including video and leaflet for young people in care and toolkit 'Trans Youth in Care - a Toolkit for Caring Professionals'
www.lgbtyouthincare.com/trans-youth-in-care-resources/

Also: www.lgbtyouthincare.com

These resources seem to have mostly been generated in Manchester supported by Tara Hewitt (TELI UCSM), Three cIrcles Fostering (Wilmslow), The Proud Trust (patrons incl prominant TRAs Stephen Whittle & Christine Burns)
www.theproudtrust.org/about-us/our-patrons/

With additional acknowledged support from Mermaids & GIRES.

The Toolkit (publ 2017) seems heavily based on Allsorts Toolkit but has additional content due to the focus being children in care.
There are many issues with the content

In 2014 Jacob Sibley (director, Three Circles Fostering) and Andrew (the LGBT foundation) completed a consultation on the experiences of LGBT people in care. Their findings helped produce a resource
entitled 'Supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Young People - Information for Foster Carers’. During May 2016 Three Circles Fostering met with some individuals who highlighted the need for more training and awareness specifically for care professionals in how to support and care for trans young people in care.
From this, Charlotte Andrew (NT&AS), Sage Aalto (Three Circles Fostering), Tara Hewitt (NHS Equalities lead) and Jacob Sibley
(Three Circles Fostering) completed a consultation with The Proud Trust Afternoon Tea group in September 2016 and with care leavers and individuals at the Sparkle event in Manchester July 2016.
A resource titled ‘trans youth in Foster Care- know your rights’ was produced which is hoped to be shared with all young people in care nationwide, this can be viewed at www.lgbtyouthincare.com.

LangCleg · 02/08/2018 11:07

ThatDoctorEM The other thing (aside from confidential disclosures and parental alienation) with regard to safeguarding that is currently concerning me is the disavowal of multi agency involvement under the Working Together framework. This reneges on the institutional checks and balances that provide a barrier against abuser infiltration in one particular agency.

"If it became an official policy position they should do an EQIA and I'm sure it would show that there isn't any negative impact on other pupils," he said.

Well let’s do one then. I don’t get to say ‘yeah I’m fairly sure this drug will work, aye.’ I have to test it and be sure. So let’s do an impact assessment. You can’t be at all worried about it if you’re sure can you?

JuneOsbourne · 02/08/2018 10:57

Changing names and being able to hide the past is very significant.

Yes sorry you're right. Poor wording on my part. I kind of meant... "Well at least there's that...." But of course the whole thing is outrageous. I was just trying to highlight the additional angle of skewing female crime/offender percentage stats.

oh god. the picture of Mark Cummings, the murdered 8 year old at the end of that article.

people who think being required to provide your 'deadname' for DBS checks is an infringement of your privacy

look at that picture

understand the pedophiles seek out situations with access to children

think about the fact that you're prioritising your comfort and convenience over the safety of children.

BraveAndStunning · 02/08/2018 10:41

Among the councils which have endorsed the guidance produced by LGBT Youth and the Scottish Trans Alliance, Glasgow, West Lothian, Clackmannanshire and South Lanarkshire said they were unable to publish an assessment of the likely impact on other pupils as they had not carried one out. Edinburgh City Council failed to respond. The office of the Scottish Children's Commissioner, Education Scotland and the Scottish Government have all also backed the LGBT Youth guide.

Actually LGBT Youth had to issue a retraction of the 'error' where they claimed that their document had been 'endorsed' by the Scottish Government. However, the Scottish Government itself did not issue a denial that it had endorsed it for about six months after publication. There is no way that they did not know about it, because they received a large number of letters from women objecting to it, including me.

LGBT Youth have been going into schools with their 'LGBT Schools Charter' and have been actively pushing schools to sign up for it. They are going to continue to roll this out to schools and have in received additional funds from the Scottish Government this year.

They have been recruiting for personnel who will be managing the roll out of the School's Charter across Scotland. This roll out is being done by stealth, and without the knowledge of parents re the agenda of the charter. The 'LGBT' banner gives the impression that it is about LGBT rights, rather than the focus on the T and the gender issues that are documented.

If you live in Scotland, it's time to start objecting to this, especially if your kids go to Non-deminational school, because it is those that are being targetted first. I imagine they will have more issues gaining entry to the denominational schools.

ThatDoctorEM · 02/08/2018 10:25

Hi, Paedophilia is something I deal a lot with.

What concerns me is that 'trans' seems to be using the process/normalising the process which paedophiles have used for eons. Endorsing the idea that parents/guardians just don't understand and fracturing that line of communication is a red flag for me.

Whether it is online grooming, the boyfriend model or incest they all follow a procedure.

  1. Contact
  1. Create a secret between abuser & child (Pornography is often used here - showing the child porn), with trans the secret can be the transgender status

3.Break the lines of communication between parent/guardian & child (In accounts one often hears how the abused was made to believe that their parents/guardian just didn't understand them, or maybe didn't want them to be happy)

  1. Isolation
(from friends or anyone who could intervene) Often the child is told that friends and family would be ashamed of them.
  1. Threat
(CSA imagery is often produced and there will be a threat that this will be shown to parents or posted online), threats of violence to family members if the abused tells.

I have included screen grabs of Jessica Eaton's important tweets. Eaton is an expert in CSA and works with victims of abuse. She is raising the alamer over gender identity and firstly how it prevents her and others from addressing the trauma which victims of CSA have.

sorry, I should have said, dont always start with the sex offenders register!

R0wantrees · 02/08/2018 10:02

is down on the sex offenders register as Crystal (or whatever fucking stupid spelling he's using). Which is good from a safeguarding perspective

Changing names and being able to hide the past is very significant.
Identifying and recognising safeguarding concerns do not start with the sex offenders register.

JuneOsbourne · 02/08/2018 09:53

According to that piece he is down on the sex offenders register as Crystal (or whatever fucking stupid spelling he's using). Which is good from a safeguarding perspective but yet another skew of the stats of "women" sex offenders. FFS.

TheOrderOfThePenis · 02/08/2018 09:53

I’d be seriously questioning myself if I was called on to provide balance in article that highlights the danger of allowing sex offenders to transition.

On the plus side it does show up the inherent conflict of rights between transgender people’s right to privacy vs children’s right to protection from sexual abuse.

TheOrderOfThePenis · 02/08/2018 09:35

Quite R0wantrees. And given that nearly half of a trans prisoners are in there for sex offences, it would behoove James to get up to speed.

Wanderabout · 02/08/2018 09:35

The suggestion that safeguarding concerns might be allayed if 'police have your new name' demonstrates a lack of awareness, experience & knowledge of how child protection actually works.

Safeguarding experts, GC women's rights advocates and legal experts, need to have oversight, and thorough impact assessment and risk analysis need done independently of trans lobby org input on policy, law, guidance etc in prisons and the rest.

Not doing this is what has got us into this mess in the first place. Doing it is what will get us out.
