Usually when you see hashtags about a diagnosis that doesn't stem from the medical establishment, you would be right to be dubious.
The anti-vaxxers are a good comparison.

Can you express exactly what about ROGD is so threatening?

Is it the idea that natural pubertal identity seeking can fixate in many different ways?
Or the idea that the rapid onset (for example ten girls in one school) implies social contagion?
Or the fact that it exposes direct-to-child online ‘marketing’ from YouTube influencers?

I’m curious. Do tell us why ROGD isn’t a thing. And why the multiple parents on here who have experienced it are wrong. The latter especially

Is this suggesting the Tavistock is being informed or paid off by “far right US fundies”?
Because that’s a pretty bold claim.

So this massive rise in teenage girls announcing they're trans, when they're often struggling with autism or sexual assault....what was there something in the water during their mothers' pregnancies?

Ok then

garam

Are you not interested in finding out what causes such a distressing condition as gender dysphoria? A condition which causes its sufferers to self harm and contemplate suicide. Why do you want to provide a 'counter view' to others' hypotheses, rather than analysing them and seeing if there is any useful information and any useful strategies that could be used to alleviate the suffering of so many young people?

How are you doing, Bowl?

Tavistock and Portland use the term - it’s not made up by mothers on Mumsnet

You will, of course, be able to link to that on the Tavistock and Portman GIC website and show where use of that term has been authorised by the health authority, rather than used in a personal capacity by two psychologists who immediately contradicted their use of the term by showing that the person in question continued in their transition and was perfectly happy not only with doing so, but happy with their transition on all measured outcomes.

Oh this is a good one! Did it take a while to come up with? I just LOVE seeing what you guys all come up with as the next ‘SCIENCE SAYS!’ Stuff.

I can’t wait for future releases.

‘Being against confidential disclosure is LITERALLY LIKE the Tunguskee experiments!’

Honestly, I’d love to listen to the thoughts processes.

Anyway... back in the world of peer reviewed science, objectively anchored reality and caring about safeguarding, no it isn’t.

Null points. I know it’s hot but really.

The Tavi doesn't use, or have it on a book as a clinical diagnosis.

Some people who work at the Tavi have commented on it, and the Tavi uses the opinions of freudian pyschologists instead of modern understanding.

Like I said, no GIS is pushing or starting hashtags of ROGD, in fact no medical establishment is doing that.

#ROGD stems from forums like this, not any experienced medical institution.

Safeguarding, safeguarding, safeguarding.

The medical profession quite often don't acknowledge illness whether mental or physical

For years in some cases

So it means nothing...less than nothing
