Suicide stats for women

We keep hearing about suicide stats for transwomen and that these justify any action which might take precedence over women's rights.

What are the stats for women? Can someone point me in the right direction?

South Asian women have a higher suicide rate than men. But no one really cares that lots of women of south asian origin are killing themselves.

The Wiki link above says that women have suicidal thoughts at higher rates than men; men attempt suicide more often; and men are more successful (both as a % and actual number)

The rates of feeling suicidal directly after pregnancy are v high can't remember where I saw this but was struck by it.

I'm not sure about stats but my understanding is that a key difference is how it is attempted/carried out. Men are more likely to do something more 'violent' and therefore likely to be more successful, -hanging, firearms, stepping in front of a train. Women tend to do things like take an overdose which increases the chance of survival. Obviously it isn't totally cut and dry but it may actually be hard to compare because it may be that a TW fits a male pattern and therefore has a lower survival chance.

I don't want to sound too brash about it, it is a very sensitive subject, but one can run the risk of comparing apples and oranges.

I would be interested in the suicide attempt rate, as men use more violent methods and tend to have a higher success rate than women.
