The difference between Dolezal and trans people is like... decades of research which proves we're not just making this crap up. Including genetics and neurology, ie things we have no way of faking.

I don't think you're making it up. I believe that some people suffer from a condition that makes their mind reject their sexed body. AFAIK nobody has found a cause or a cure for this condition, and the treatment is sometimes to try to make the body more like the mind thinks it should be.

But you cannot change sex and there is no such thing as a female brain in a male body, because the idea of a female brain is a misogynist lie.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/07/2018 13:55

Some people just can't seem to keep their promises (about going away)...

She is literally a butcher... that's her job...

Sex is a binary in your opinion - but that isn't the opinion of other people. Many people view it as a spectrum. Neither lens to view sex through is wrong, they both have their uses in different situations.

You sound like a reasonable person and then write something which is irrational.

Humans are sexually dimorphic. Human biology is binary, there is no spectrum of biological sex. And biology just is, like gravity or the speed of light, it's not something created by having a different opinion.

I think its a massive stretch to call her misogynist for deliberately provocative posts.

Can you really think that? People who respect women don't normally tattoo dire threats directed at women onto their bodies. People who don't respect women are misogynists.

lurker33 · 23/07/2018 13:53

Yourfriendly, you said I think its grounds for better spaces - but the idea that spaces must be segregated along the lines of sex? That isn't really supported by the data.

Firstly - what data?

Secondly, do you not see that in general, if you (general you) were a victim of violence of any sort, then the perpetrator is most likely to be a male, with a penis, irrespective of how they 'present'? This is one of the reasons why we have sex segregated spaces, to protect women. Unfortunately it does mean those born male who are vulnerable do not have access to the same protection as women from violent men.

The answer isn't to force women to move over.

How do you think babies are made, YourFriendlyNeighbourhoodTrans?

AnchorMum · 23/07/2018 13:51

What people are forgetting here is that it takes around two years to be seen by a GIC and then at least another year maybe two for refers for surgery and then again at least a year. So would love to know how fair play 4 women take that into account. Its just fearmonging

Not for my young adult child it didn't - 10 months between first seeing the GP and being diagnosed with gender dysphoria and being prescribed hormones.

My child had their first symptoms of dysphoria 4-5 months before going to see the GP.

Vickyyyy · 23/07/2018 13:50

So often these threads those arguing from the TRA side come out with MRA talking points and distorted stats and 'women do it too!!!!'' stuff.

See, getting my TRA and MRA mixed up even in my own post, as its pretty much the same thing and anyone who cannot see this is either purposely missing it or has no experience with MRA fuckers.

OldCrone · 23/07/2018 13:49

I think its grounds for better spaces - but the idea that spaces must be segregated along the lines of sex? That isn't really supported by the data. Instead I think the best way forwards is secure gender neutral facilities. Ones with floor to ceiling doors and walls, with a CCTV camera watching the door to see who enters and leaves and perhaps even a panic button (like a fire alarm) as is the case with some of these spaces already.

What about prisons? Domestic violence refuges? Hospital wards? Communal changing rooms in schools? Dormitories for children on school trips?

Vickyyyy · 23/07/2018 13:48

MRA talking points, lordly pronouncements, the entitlement of continued guideline violation after having guidelines brought to attention, the list goes on and on and on...

So often these threads those arguing from the MRA side come out with MRA talking points and distorted stats and 'women do it too!!!!'' stuff. Almost as if TRAs and MRAs are one and the same, though, surely not Hmm

OldCrone · 23/07/2018 13:46

Though I disagree that Travis should be counted here, they asked for gender neutral spaces - not to "invade women's rooms".

Wrong. Travis demanded to use the female changing rooms in Topshop which was full of teenage girls.

Indierockandroll · 23/07/2018 13:43

Coming in to women's spaces as one person and then revealed to be something quite different. Sounds familiar.

OldCrone · 23/07/2018 13:42

Its because men aren't organising against our rights and acceptance in society. A small group of women are, and acting like their idea of womanhood is the only justification they need for that.

If you think women are such a danger to you, why aren't you using the men's facilities? Because they're clearly so lovey-dovey towards you. I thought your argument was that men were violent towards you so you needed to come in with the women. Make your mind up.

Women are campaigning to keep women's rights, not against trans rights. Our campaigns are non-violent. We do not have an 'idea of womanhood'. We are campaigning to save sex-based protections, to keep us safe from people like your baseball bat wielding friend.

Your defence of using violence against non-violent women shows exactly who you are.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/07/2018 13:37

Takes a special kind of person to sympathize with someone who not only has a death threat tattooed on their person but calls themselves "The Butcher", or pretend to.

Almost like our new friend Neighborhood lives under a bridge and finds it funny to try to wind women up.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 23/07/2018 13:37

Your posts are so disingenuous it's hard to keep up, YourFriendlyNeighbourhoodTrans. But I'll try to pin you down in your reply about your mate Char with the baseball bat and why TRAs attack women.

Usually? Its because men aren't organising against our rights and acceptance in society. A small group of women are, and acting like their idea of womanhood is the only justification they need for that.

And yet if a TW is murdered it'll be by a man. And men are often brutally frank about not seeing TW as women, let alone finding them sexually attractive. Far more blunt and offensive than lesbians seem to be. Some men will have sex with TW but not a relationship.

So men pose a physical danger and don't perceive TW as the gender they've chosen, but it's women who get the harassment.

We don't have an "idea of womanhood". It's not a club to which you're being denied entry, you know. Being a woman isn't an identity or a costume a man can adopt. It's a material reality.

Without female anatomy and socialization any claim a male makes to be a woman can be nothing more than projection and fantasy.

Your justification for attacking women looks like plain old ugly misogyny.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/07/2018 13:35

I know a bloke who has a silly looking little black ghostie tattooed on his arm, does that count?

(It does not - it looks like Casper's goth cousin.)

Maryzsnewaccount · 23/07/2018 13:33

I have massive sympathy for those who suffer gender/sex dysphoria and who are being "represented" by such opinions.

BettyDuMonde · 23/07/2018 13:33

I’ve got a shopping list tattooed on the back of my hand and ‘L’ and ‘R’ on my thumbs - no death threats though.

Maryzsnewaccount · 23/07/2018 13:32

I'm amazed FriendlyNeighbourhoodTrans is still here.

Does the 3 strikes and you're out policy not apply to rape apologists and misogynists? Not that I want the posts deleted, they should stand as evidence, but surely this isn't the type of poster MNHQ should allow to hang around.

Datun · 23/07/2018 13:31

Usually? Its because men aren't organising against our rights and acceptance in society. A small group of women are, and acting like their idea of womanhood is the only justification they need for that.

This is hilarious.

Oh my God, you silly women, men aren't up in arms about women trying to beat them at sport, or women trying to get into their prisons, or women trying to enter their changing facilities and toilets.

It's only women doing that!

That proves I'm not being misogynistic or sexist!!

How many times do we see this. Someone using sexism to disprove misogyny.

BettyDuMonde · 23/07/2018 13:31

Ooooh, The Timewarp?

What happened to ‘Sweet Transvestites’ like Frank? Can we have them back now please?

CigarsofthePharoahs · 23/07/2018 13:30

Forgive me if I've got this a bit wrong, but I was thinking about the comparison upthread about certain deprived neighborhoods that have a majority black population versus men.
The reasons those neighborhoods can be a dangerous place for some isn't race, it's poverty. Poverty often does lead to crime, regardless of the race of people living there.
Why are some of those neighborhoods so poor? I suspect a good deal of institutional racism involved there. So that awful analogy is doubly racist.
Male sex offenders can come from all walks of life. I've read the Schroeder's rapist description and it makes a very valid point.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 23/07/2018 13:30

*Got stuff to do. See ya pals

AngryAttackKittens · 23/07/2018 13:30

It’s so inconvenient.

Isn't is just? Bloody laws preventing men from doing things that they'd really really like to do, there ought to be a law against that instead!

Bowlofbabelfish · 23/07/2018 13:29

The pic of the person with the death threat tattooed on them, holding a weapon?

I’m sure they’re absolutely charming in real life.

quick straw poll for the thread - is there anyone else here with a death threat tattooed upon their person?
