Why not just engage @mnhq

OP posts:
ElenOfTheWays · 22/07/2018 10:48

Wish I could say I was shocked, but considering the way things have been going around here lately, I'm not even surprised really. There is one mod in particular who seems to really have it in for FWR.
Friend of Emma? Anyway off to read the thread. What's left of it.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 22/07/2018 10:47

When all the people pointing out the tactics are gone, because they have been targetted through mass MN and twitter reporting; who is going to point it out exactly?

Mumsnet are being used and possibly from within - and just cannot see it. Or don't want to.

Clears the way nicely doesn't it?

AngryAttackKittens · 22/07/2018 10:42

The responses from MNHQ on that thread showed a genuinely alarming lack of good judgement.

Indierockandroll · 22/07/2018 10:41

Offred is going now - please see other thread!

Indierockandroll · 22/07/2018 10:39

Just read the linked thread.
What disturbed me most were the deletions and responses from MN.

Indierockandroll · 22/07/2018 10:29

We are losing so many good posters sad.

It is sad. It's also easy then isn't it if they're all gone.

Come on @MNHQ safeguarding is safeguarding and not being able to talk about or link to who is responsible is failing in our and your duty of care to children.

UpstartCrow · 22/07/2018 10:16

Safeguarding is safeguarding. If an individual protests against safeguarding or boundaries then you need to pay attention.

If the tactics or behaviours of an individual or group put children at risk then other individuals or groups should not use the same tactics or behaviours.

LangCleg · 22/07/2018 10:13

Sophie - the point I personally am making is that guidance offered to school by trans lobby groups weakens safeguarding to the extent it places children (including trans children) at risk of abuse by all predators, regardless of identification. The point others are making is that genderist ideology is being used as a Trojan horse by abusers, regardless of identification.

The responsibility is on you to distinguish between posts that actually say "all trans people are paedos", which quite rightly should be deleted, and posts which say the political demands of the transgender lobby should be critically scrutinised because they weaken protections against predators, which quite rightly should stand.

You're grown up people. If posts saying the former are being reported, then delete them and smite the poster. If posts saying the latter are being reported, then tell those reporting to bugger off.

It's not rocket science.

Hey, MNHQ - "tactics" used by entirely different, separate groups with entirely different ethics, aims and objectives - can be identical "tactics".

Surely you can see that?

R0wantrees · 22/07/2018 09:35

Important current thread focussed on Safeguarding and systemic failings /failures with regards child protection and protection of vulnerable adults:

ToeToToe · 22/07/2018 09:26

I very, very nearly left MN for good because of that thread SophieMN has linked to.

I was on there under a different Username - and the deletions sickened me.

This is a parenting website FFS. If we can't name the tactics PIE are using in order to normalise and legalise child sexual abuse (yes, they want the age of consent lowered or gone) - then MN cannot call itself a parent support site, IMO.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/07/2018 09:25

but do avoid conflation of TRA and PIE tactics, which we've previously mentioned on this thread

But the tactics are noticeably similar even if the end goal is different Hmm

ShirleyPhallus · 22/07/2018 09:21

Ohhhh.... cross post

ShirleyPhallus · 22/07/2018 09:20

It says at the top that MNHQ have commented on this thread but there is no comment, and the clicking on the link doesn’t go anywhere?

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/07/2018 09:20

It's all good cote Smile

SophieLMumsnet · 22/07/2018 09:20

Hi all,

We're not saying you can't talk about PIE or paedophiles at all, so by all means start an individual thread about it - but do avoid conflation of TRA and PIE tactics, which we've previously mentioned on this thread.

If anyone would like to query one of their post deletions, then by all means mail in and we're always happy to discuss it.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 22/07/2018 09:14

Well exactly beyond

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 22/07/2018 09:11

You'd think it was obvious from the way PIE have historically already done it with homosexuality!!

(i also missed the thread though)

CoteDAzur · 22/07/2018 09:10

Sorry Bore, I didn't get that. It was a bit too early in the morning for me Flowers

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 22/07/2018 09:08

Oh for goodness sake

It must be quite obvious that nefarious groups will piggy back on to perfectly 'innocent' groups

It happens all the time

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/07/2018 09:05

Cote the Hmm wasn't aimed at you!

I thought this was a troll thread when I read it, as it was so odd, but see now that it's something else entirely.

CoteDAzur · 22/07/2018 08:19

"I think OP might mean Paedophile Information Exchange Cote Hmm"

How the fuck am I supposed to know that?

Here, have a Hmm yourself.
