Fair Play for Women are creating a campaign to inform everyone about women and girls' rights and the GRA.

It’s having an amazing surge of support, and now there is just one more day for it to run.

I'm going to add a few more quid before it closes, because as one donor says:

The future of women's and girls' rights in this country depends on the outcome of this campaign. If any man can just declare he's a woman, we won't be able to maintain single sex spaces in refuges & prisons, or single sex services like rape crisis centres. Our ability to organise independently from men to protect our rights will be threatened. Girls and women won't be able to define our own boundaries, or maintain private female spaces like changing rooms and toilets. This is an emergency for girls and women.

Who here has contributed and what were your reasons?

I contributed having read about it on here. I think it is important to give women a voice against the well resources TRAs. In the past I like many assumed transgender individuals were those who were actively changing their bodies to their desired genders.

I donated anonymously and hovered over the decision as to whether to provide my email address to the organisers. I’m afraid I took the coward’s route and went totally anonymous as my details being linked to this in public if the list ever got hacked would be very damaging to my Career. And doesn’t that just show what a shocking mess this is - women’s careers being damaged because they’d like women to be taken into account?

ReluctantCamper · 14/07/2018 21:15

i donated when they had a £10k target and have donated again as we've ticked over into a new pay month

resources are needed to get the message out about the potential erasure of women's rights

i am both busy and lazy and don't do as much as I could / should. but i can give money

HotRocker · 14/07/2018 21:12

I have just donated. I will mither my girlfriend into donating as well. Shared on Facebook also.

Xiaoxiong · 14/07/2018 20:44

I contributed to get them over the £10k hurdle and I ticked anonymous since I always do for charity things. I kind of wish I hadn't now as I would love my name to be there. I guess I'll just have to donate againGrin

Thanks for the reminder!

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 14/07/2018 19:54

So pleased to see them getting closer to their target.

MsBeee · 14/07/2018 19:42

People are still donating. They are getting nearer to the target 🎯

Thanks for the comments. I find it really moving that so many have come together to support Fair Play, and that they are working away to support us. That we don't know each other but we are united in this, and each doing what we can.

Thanks for posting this. Xx bump

I've just donated again. Second or third time. So dismayed at the vile behaviour of the TRAs. Will not be silenced.

theOtherPamAyres · 14/07/2018 16:38

I contributed twice.

For years, I have been concerned about the growth of the trans agenda and the dismissal of critical thinking as the work of a bunch of nasty feminists hell bent on murder and trans-cleansing.

There is an irony in the act of fund-raising for hard-won rights in this, the centenary of women's suffrage. Who would have thought that women, from all walks of life, were still having to scrape together resources and cash to make their voice heard?

Stilettosandan0venglove · 14/07/2018 16:28

Julius yes, I am really looking forward to having the FP materials to share with friends and explain the situation.

I've donated twice, and have encouraged friends and family to use FPFW info to read up on what is happening since they are all unaware!

agennaro · 14/07/2018 15:58

I have contributed twice, wish I could give more. Did it via PayPal very easy to do.

I feel it's really important to have a fund to raise awareness.

The vast majority of people have no idea of the potential changes and problems. I think once it is more widely more it won't be able
To be swept in by stealth'

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 14/07/2018 15:53

Stilettos!!

I've donated, massively important to get this info out there.

KittyKlaws · 14/07/2018 15:46

I've contributed - I'd like to give more next week when I am able. I'm assuming that even if this fundraiser comes to an end we will still be able to contribute to the group.

TheBiologicalWoman · 14/07/2018 15:42

I've donated - for the very reasons outlined by Oldstyle.
And because TRAs are being bankrolled by major donors.

I will add a bit more because I feel so passionate about this. Interesting, as I donated anonymously, but will use my name this time.

Her0utdoors · 14/07/2018 15:34

Donated.
Maintain single sex spaces in refuges & prisons and single sex services like rape crisis centres.

BettyFloop · 14/07/2018 15:17

I've contributed because everyone needs to know what's going on.

MsMcWoodle · 14/07/2018 15:14

donated.

Oldstyle · 14/07/2018 14:58

Contributed because I think this is the most significant attack on women and women's rights in decades and FPFW are in the vanguard. Took me a while to actually face up to the reality but once you start to join the dots it's impossible to just stand by and watch it happen. Getting up the courage to put my head properly above the parapet now: donating and commenting in my own name was the first tiny step.

LangCleg · 14/07/2018 14:58

Very proud to have contributed towards the fantastic and detailed work FPFW are doing.

Baroquehavoc · 14/07/2018 14:46

Thanks for reminding me.
