I know I should be outraged etc. But this has given me the best laugh I’ve had in months - proper tears and gasping. The dog won’t come near me because I laughed so much and woke him up.

I feel sorry for this person, actually pity for the stupidity of it all. Is this all they have to think about, making this crap up. I think the person writing wants to feel powerful, but there is no power in being an objective of pity.

Racecardriver · 16/07/2018 13:06

Well hold on... A lot of period symptoms are also pregnancy symptoms. What if she's actually pregnant?!

Racecardriver · 16/07/2018 12:56

Right... I really don't know what to say to that. Its so stupid (and ignorant) that I feel like I have lost braincells just reading it.

SimonBridges · 16/07/2018 12:45

I'm really sick of seeing this 'oh look what the trans brigade is up to now' content on mumsnet.

I’m sick of have my experience as a girl and woman erased and belittled.

GladAllOver · 16/07/2018 12:35

I think it's just HILARIOUS. I couldn't stop laughing out loud at the silliness and self-deception of this person's imaginary periods.
If I was on twitter I would thank them for their amusing send-up of the whole trans experience.

Sarahconnor1 · 16/07/2018 12:33

cholka

You may have missed this bit i absolutely love how much trans girls talking about the reality of their periods pisses transphobes off. It makes you feel so powerful! Really tho it's just that they're so weak. I mean, us existing is enough to upset them, so...

It's appropriation and it's offensive and it's done deliberately.

thricethebrindledcat · 16/07/2018 12:33

Are they wanting pregnancies too now as part of the fantasy?
Poor NHS.

SuperM0m · 16/07/2018 12:32

Hi all, my first time posting here, so please forgive me if I make a few errors, I'm now 42 and suffer with the most excruciating period cramps, I literally don't eat for 3 days as I feel extremely nauseous, and stay grounded for the first 3 days of my cycle.. my GP says these pains are normal & sends me home with, 2 ibuprofen 3 times a day .. please can anyone suggest any other solutions ?? 😭😭😭

cholka · 16/07/2018 12:29

I'm really sick of seeing this 'oh look what the trans brigade is up to now' content on mumsnet.
From a cursory glance, it looks like a blog by a young person saying that everyone has hormonal cycles. Silly to call that a period but WHO CARES.
Stop going looking for outrage.

2princess14 · 16/07/2018 12:25

😂😂😂😂

FloralBunting · 16/07/2018 12:24

Oo, this is the first time I think I might actually be blocked by someone, because I can only see supportive messages under that Twitter thread.

BettyDuMonde · 16/07/2018 12:07

Yesterday I ate an entire tub of potato salad in bed, at about 9am. DH came out of the shower and said, ‘did you just eat all of that?’ When I affirmed he said, ‘is it magical lady time?’.

Luckily, all this HRT bloodless period nonsense means that if I do have to have an oophorectomy next year, I will still have an acceptable excuse for eating all of the potato salad.

Can’t decide if I want oven chips or potato waffles for lunch - does anyone else find menstruating makes them potato-mad? Bread will do in a pinch but I swear, I dream of potatoes 2 days a month.

Ereshkigal · 16/07/2018 10:37

Yes.

ShotsFired · 16/07/2018 10:14

Straight out of the gate the male goes aggressively after her.

Quelle surprise.

Ereshkigal · 16/07/2018 09:57

This is a moving Twitter thread about how TRAs appropriate one particular condition to use in arguments about their "womanhood":

With responses. Most supportive, some callous and dismissive.

Voice0fReason · 15/07/2018 23:40

Fake blood and wind is not a period.
Only biological women can have periods.

onedayiwillmissthis · 15/07/2018 18:14

They can fck right off with their fcking period f*cking pain😠

Have suffered horrendously with periods my whole life. Plus mittelsmertz that had me carted off to hospital once. Two daughters, one sadly suffers as I did...one that happily has very little discomfort.

How dare fcking egotistical delusional men spout this crap!
And as for the idiot women who massage those bloody egos by agreeing and colluding in their fantasies...f
ck right off

Ooh err...that got me proper riled...can you tell?

Fitflapflop · 15/07/2018 17:44

What the hell? So what else cramps in our bodies apart from the uterus to give us period pain?! Is he confusing period pain with javelin arse?

FlippinFumin · 15/07/2018 17:27

I could give them the benefit of the advice we were often told when I was a young girl with period pains.

What you should do, is get a dustpan and brush, and brush the stairs. This will pull your whatever is causing you the cramps, and apparently ease them. In my case it was the tightening of my womb to dispel the menstrual blood that caused my pain. That women were told this is a cure, says a hell of a lot about a woman's place. If this did not work straight away, you could move on to scrubbing the kitchen floor. Eventually you would be so knackered you would not be thinking about period pain. Alternatively you shut up about period pain in case anyone asked you to scrub the stairs and the kitchen floor, you suffered in silence.

I bet a pound to a penny no trans woman is going to be scrubbing the stairs to ease their period pain Grin

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 15/07/2018 17:17

Mind you I don't knit all the time too.

This is getting worrying.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 15/07/2018 17:16

I can knit?

sociopathsunited · 15/07/2018 17:10

How about we all tell the TRA's EXACTLY what we do to resolve period pain, so they don't suffer as much as they clearly are? After all, the sisterhood demands that we share. I don't feel it's fair to keep the secrets away from them, what with us all being wummen together.

What I do is, get yourself at least one, if not two, scotch bonnet chillies and chop them finely, seeds and all. Shove the chopped chilli up your wazoo. If you're wazoo-less, then perhaps it could be rubbed liberally around the ahem special area......don't forget to wash your hands before you rub your eyes!

DuggeesWoggle · 15/07/2018 16:58

Chardonnay if you're not wearing high heels, make up and dresses all the time then are you even a woman?

Sunflowersforever · 15/07/2018 16:42

It's just utterly bizarre. Probably one of the most bizarre things I've ever read.

DickTERFin · 15/07/2018 16:20

People with cluster B type personalities often have comorbid conditions such as Munchausen's and hypochondria. Just sayin'.
