Datun do you really think we shouldn't be worried by this???? I've huge respect for your opinion....

But I am really chilled.... Their statement announcing this included the following:

As volunteers, we are shocked and appalled by this behaviour, not least because some felt threatened by the protesters. We are treating this extremely seriously and will be reviewing what happened with the Greater London Authority, the Metropolitan Police, Westminster City Council, TfL and continuing to consult with our Community Advisory Board. We will also be working with groups who have offered support given this issue must be stamped out

raising weird double standards around violence:

  1. seriously, transpeople felt threatened at Pride?... I really DON'T think so... not threatened, just uncomfortable
  2. stamping out this issue... feels like a VERY serious threat to lesbians, and hugely aggressive

Quite. It's the sort of silly authoritarianism that, imo, actually encouraged a lot of people who voted Brexit. English people, in particular, seem to have a trait of bloody mindedness that will bristle strongly at this sort of thing.
