@aaarrrggghhhh, sure and I don't disagree with them protesting for something they believe in and obviously feel affected by but it seems like their protest was against the trans population as a whole and not against the trans individuals who acts unreasonably.
to say the entire trans population is a certain way and all act in the same manneer is ridiculous, the same way it's ridiculous to say these girls represent the entire lesbian population. They represent themselves and who feel like them but that's it.
That's also what bothers me with mumsnet on trans topic, it's obvious that most people have a problem with certain kind of trans people, but end up writing inflammatory post about "trans people" making generalization until someone put them up on it and then they are like "oh but I am not talking about those trans people those are fine, I am talking about the other ones, the ones who self-id without wanting to transition." Yet their post is about trans people in general which is a totally other kettle of fish in my book.
In other words I do not disagree with them protesting for what they believe in (even though I don't personally feel identified in their claims), I disagree with the way it was done and the putting everyone in the same basket type of thing.
@YourMajestyJ Please. Not too long ago it was fine to have slaves, own people as properties and for gay people not to be able to marry. Laws can be dubious AND "surprise surprise" discriminatory, so your point being? If you want to sue me for being homophobic though, go ahead, I will be happy to go with my same-sex partner to court and discuss my blatant homophia and hatred for lesbians.
