Lachlan Stewart is a Labour Policy advisor:

"Centering trans voices: Alex in her own words (*1):

… Alex is a lesbian (*2) advisor to Stonewall on trans. If ill, should Alex be admitted to a women's ward in hospitals? entitled to use women's communal showers? perform body searches on women in custody?"

Lachlan Stuart concludes:
"Stonewall has never been a representative or member-based organisation, always a lobby group, necessarily beholden to its funders (mostly government now) and accountable only to its own articles (which have changed since founding)."

GIven Lachlan Stuart's stated concerns, I wonder if this has been raised with the Charities Commission or the Minister responsible.

'The Charity Commission is the registrar and regulator of charities in England and Wales. Its role is to provide proportionate regulation to the sector so that the public can trust and have confidence in charities. An independent, non-Ministerial Government Department, it is based across four sites, employing approximately 350 staff and for the financial year 2018/19 has a budget of £27 million. A new, five-year strategic plan will be launched during the summer of 2018.

I know. He could actually make a difference. I guess it's a lot more of a scary thing to do. It's easier to try and coerce women into accepting you the way you are, than men.

Because for the vast majority of these men it's not really about the way they present, it's what presenting like that and claiming a trans identity affords:

endorsement and validation of a sexual fetish while claiming oppression.

ability to be a world class misogynist and instead of being called out you are validated and applauded.

ability to define woman/female and put yourself in that group despite having no legitimate claim to such.

pushing the boundaries of consent for validation and/or getting off on doing so.

So what's not to like?

Oh it's Alex! Alex was the one who caused me to question the whole trans thing. The word sexist was invented for people like Alex IMO.

Ruth Davidson exhibits Olympic-level mental gymnastics. It can't be comfortable for her.

I saw someone on twitter asking questions about the scope of Alex Drummond's public speaking in their capacity as Stonewall advisor with regards being a lesbian.

I am on old gimmer and well remember Mick Jagger in a frilly skirt with earrings and eye makeup. He looked more than fine - great in fact.
What the fuck has happened that most men can't do that now, i.e. enjoy feminine accoutrements yet still be happily male? (Grayson Perry is an honourable exception.)
I wonder who might be to blame for that ? Hint - it's not women
