It's been announced Scarlett Johansson is going to play a trans-man in an upcoming film called Rub & Tug.

Apparently Scar-Jo dressing up as a man and a trans woman in the film is offensive "trans face" according to lots of people losing their heads on Twitter.

The irony is utterly breathtaking...

Well, she can self-identify as trans for the time it takes to make the film and then decide what she feels like afterwards.

Did they want a man to play a transman? Or someone who has a vagina but feels male?

It reminds me of the mess that saw Jeffrey Tambor booted from Transparent.

Maybe she self-identifies as trans? I mean, that should be possible, right? Isn't it trans-privilege and literal violence to claim that cis women can't be trans?
