There are lots of things I find unfunny on MN but I dont go wading in to tell people they are wrong to find it funny (provided harmless obviously!). I just dont understand what it is about this that has such a bee in your bonnet which is why I was concerned you had had a bad day

Alright bum licker was inspired in its simplicity, tbh. So many incredibly articulate women here, contorting themselves to clearly and eruditely say what needs to be said, but sometimes you just need those three little words to pierce the claptrap.

Nothing but as she was cited for some reason as being relwvant so presumably I'm allowed to express my opinion of her? She is a one trick pony. That constitutes "spoiling" ? Are you really so insecure in your own taste?

Oh and at no point have I said anything about it not being funny- just pointing out as others did Gilead isn't restricted to that book. The entire planet isn't obsessed by the misery fest of The Handmaid 's Tale.

As for this comment Perhaps we could all try reading stuff that is better suited for women than Attwood! where on earth did you get that from?

Although given she is such a poster girl I might have expected you to spell her surname correctly.

TBH even apart from The Handmaids Tale, 'Gilead' is a bit of a crap choice for a naice community for anyone who can read wiki knows their Bible.
'Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood'

(I'm hoping Atwood knew exactly what she was doing when she chose that name)
