This is just a plea for that really....

I do understand how upset so many people are about Mumsnet's recent policies and the confusion and hurt they have caused - yes I have sobbed tears late into the night too

But please stay! I am sad so many are fleeing - and hope that some will maintain their sanity by not being on here every day, but coming on when feeling strong enough.

More than anything I think it is important that many of us are here now, with the government consultation launching on 7 July - speaking out on this board and AIBU and chat - so that people understand the conflict between women/girls right and trans rights as currently proposed - so that people understand what we may be about to lose before we do - and recognise that this isn't transphobia, but actually talking about the challenges and doing that much-quoted but seldom done "equality impact assessment" for everyone affected

It is fine and fair to ask about what will happen to women and girls - and to want transpeople to have strong rights

I think that MN don't want feminists here anymore.
The guidelines restrict free speech which in turn makes feminists or GC women either choose to leave or get banned.
Probably easier than deleting the FWR board.

I'm off too peeps. Sleep tight.

Maryzsnewaccount · 26/06/2018 00:15

By the way, if anyone is around you might bump my thread

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3288716-Message-deleted-by-Mumset-etc

I was trying to work out how many posts a certain poster had had deleted, only to find that it's now hidden. And I also can't find out how many posts of mine have been deleted. I can't see a single genuine reason for suddenly hiding this information, so can only come to the conclusion that MNHQ don't want us to know Hmm

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:15

Night Rufus, hope the heat doesn't fire up your loins too much overnight! Keep those toes out of the duvet :-)

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2018 00:14

U cool reindeer nightie

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:14

littl
I typed a response to your latest post that included 'fire' and 'arses'.
And then I deleted it.
And then I posted it again, cos, you know, as above, it's been a long day and I have lowered judgement.
And then I deleted it again. As it wasn't that long a day!

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:12

Right off to bed

Night all

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2018 00:12

Dicks ducks dicks ducks

Heck I confused myself

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:11

Oh yep, Rufus or loins too. Though that always feels very male, whatever the fuck that means nowadays!

Bellies/loins/wings/beaks...just not arses.

It's been a long day!

(Thank you MaryZ for awesome pic though!)

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:11

I knew id spelt firey wrong Grin

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2018 00:11

Dicks take us by surprise sometimes but then we just know them for being dicks. Long as we can spot the dickish behaviour then we fine

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:10

Fire in our bellies!

That's it.

Fire in our bellies!

We're not sitting ducks, we're ducks with fire in our bellies!

(Apologies to those ducks with fire in their arses who are now feeling judged. You're not who I meant, but I'm sure you're just as valid in your identity as ducks with alternative fires!)

7Days · 26/06/2018 00:10

Came for the incisive commentary....stayed for the fiery arse ducks

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:09

pom

Isn't it usually....

Fire in our loins

Maryzsnewaccount · 26/06/2018 00:08

Yes Betty, exactly.

My so-called "d"h has turned into a dick recently. It's quite a surprise, but thanks to reading threads on here I know that (a) he's a dick and (b) it's not my fault.

I might post about it some day. Or not. But just being here, and realising that women are not stupid, helps a lot.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:08

maryz

Your googling skills are outstanding Grin

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2018 00:07

Oh Cripes maryz. That’s a burning arse

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:07

I said it was late and I was tired.

No idea where ducks with fire in their arses came from!

Can anyone help me out?! Surely there's a warrior cry about fire in our arses?

No?

Oh well, slopes off to find a better analogy.

On the positive side...still here with all of you, and thanking those of you who had to leave, whether or not you had a duck-arse on fire or not!

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:07

Yep

An arsey duck thats me Grin

Maryzsnewaccount · 26/06/2018 00:06

I'm not entirely sure that fire-farting-ducks are appropriate, but anyhow ...

please don't vanish - we are all crucial to the future for women and girls
Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:05

That burning ring of fire song is in my head now!!

pombear · 26/06/2018 00:05

Sorry Rufus...maybe in our toes instead?

(Oh no!)

Erm, just fucking arsey ducks, rather than sitting ducks?!

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2018 00:05

No one wants a fiery arse tbf

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 26/06/2018 00:04

But we're ducks with fire in our arses!

What the hell Shock

I dont want a firey arse

BettyFloop · 26/06/2018 00:03

Maryz - someone (I can't remember who now - sorry) has suggested that MN employees, volunteers etc should all be signed up for the online Freedom Programme in order to be able to understand more what's going on here and the effects it's having on the longstanding MN community. I completely agree with this idea and, for £12.00 per person, it will make their modding duties so much easier.

I believe we're worth it.
