I am Spartacus.

I won’t stand by and watch gender critical feminists be thrown under the bus to pander to a very vocal minority who wish to rewrite biology, feminism and common sense.

Have you all seen the womens place campaign to force councils etc to correct their diversity policy statements? So many used gender! There is a spreadsheet of doom out there somewhere.

Would be interesting to check policies of some of the big plc’s I think, I would imagine there are some errors there too.

To my work colleague who, in a meeting, said 'I'm Spartacus' to something completely non-related to women's rights, but in a room full of females.

I have a feeling you and I are here. It's not something that's said very often in any other context.

I am Spartacus and so are my daughters. Gender is a cultural construct, as genuinely innate as neck ties on a preacher.
I live 'as a woman' by virtue of going about my daily business in possession of a vagina that I have had since I was born.

It is heartening to see so many delurkers isn’t it. And there are so many more in RL - when you pluck up the courage to speak about it you realise that the pervading view of the twitterati is not representative at all of most adults. Obviously some young people who get their ideas from YouTube have been indoctrinated, but that’s because they don’t have the life experience to see the issues with this ideology. I’m hopeful that with time it will all be ironed out, it’s just a question of how many women and girls have to be disadvantaged in the meantime. Sad

Am flabbergasted to read that HopePink has been banned from Twitter for misgendering himself/herself. How is that even possible?. Wtf?! Surely their whole point is that you are whatever you say you are?

What’s the collective noun for a bunch of GC feminists then? I’m sure there will be some choice suggestions from certain posters!

I’m thinking we go along the line of storks - a mustering - or perhaps pheasants - a bouquet 💐 or OF warren.

There’s an interesting list here, may have to co opt some of these for other groups! Wink

Feminism has to centre females. The old fashioned cunty ones. And one of the central points has to be women’s ability to say no.

I don't think our numbers are dwindling at all. Since my disquiet first began (and that was when Jenner got that Woman of the Year award from Cosmopolitan or wherever and simultaneously made the 100 women of the year on the Women's Hour list and I thought WTAF?!), our numbers have swelled. 12,000 have signed the petition to consult with women before enshrining gender identity in law, there are lots and lots of grassroots organisations springing up of women organising together to raise awareness, crowdfunders for Posie and Jennifer and Transgender Trend have raised thousands. Many of us are afraid or unable to stand up publicly but we are many.

We have a right to single SEX provision for changing rooms, healthcare, prisons, refuges, sports, support groups and anything else I’ve forgotten.

The protected Characteristics are SEX and gender reassignment. I believe the protected characteristics should be SEX and gender non conformity. I believe the 2004 act is a hangover from the homophobic days of gay marriage being illegal and should be repealed.

Anything Datun LangCleg Summers and all the other long standing posters have ever said.

What @floralbunting and @newbiespartucus have said.

In the words of Venice Allen ‘stand up, they can’t punch us all.

So I am Spartacus, I will always be Spartacus, I will not be silenced by Orwellian controls on speech or the MRA/GF invasion that is with us now the holidays have started.
