I just peak-trans'd again!

Who knew peak-transing could be like multiple orgasms?

Anyway just have to share my story. I was just removed from a feminist Facebook group after someone posted about Trans claiming “they are women” and I replied they weren’t.

Someone then called me a “terf” and “trash” and then > I < got removed despite the fact I didn't use any slurs, call anyone names, just stated that me agreeing that trans-women are women is tantamount to claiming 2+2=5 in Orwell's 1984.

I'd peak-trans'd long ago but this is the icing on my womanly (cause y'know, wimminz love to bake) cake.

Can you just remind us of the new and accepted definition of "woman", @dinosaursandtea and/or @daimbars? The one that has replaced the old one that was based on outdated and totally irrelevant biology?

Given there are actual trans people who post on here saying that what OP said is NOT offensive, it looks like we're back to non-trans people being offended on behalf of... again.

Whereas of course if OP were to want hate speech, death, assault and rape threats towards women who want to try and safeguard women's rights and safety she would be better off where she is on places like Twitter where absolutely anything goes unless you dare to suggest that women might have a view on their own rights and safety.

If you said that in a group I moderated, I’d delete your comment and ban you. Many groups don’t accept transphobia, that happened to be one. Don’t stay where you’re not wanted.

I just got told on Facebook that transwomen who acknowledge they aren't women aren't actually transwomen. I'm not sure what the person thinks a transwoman is.

I'd rather not say just because I don't want to accidentally out myself via my Facebook profile but it wasn't a big one - around 600 members. One of them messaged her support actually afterwards.
