I just peak-trans'd again!

Who knew peak-transing could be like multiple orgasms?

Anyway just have to share my story. I was just removed from a feminist Facebook group after someone posted about Trans claiming “they are women” and I replied they weren’t.

Someone then called me a “terf” and “trash” and then > I < got removed despite the fact I didn't use any slurs, call anyone names, just stated that me agreeing that trans-women are women is tantamount to claiming 2+2=5 in Orwell's 1984.

I'd peak-trans'd long ago but this is the icing on my womanly (cause y'know, wimminz love to bake) cake.

GibbertyFlibbert - does the DSM detail fetishes???

Amazingly, it seems the answer is yes.

Specific Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria

Diagnosis of transvestic disorder requires the following:

Patients have been repeatedly and intensely aroused by cross-dressing; arousal is expressed in fantasies, intense urges, or behaviors.

These fantasies, intense urges, or behaviors cause significant distress or impair functioning at work, in social situations, or in other important areas.

I was removed from a face book group entitled ‘we get it you’re very unfamiliar with, and possibly even afraid of, vaginas’.

The admins posted about only using inclusive language regarding vaginas because ‘not everyone who has a vagina is female’ (phrases like women’s parts or lady parts for example would incur a ban).

My response was ‘the vagina is a female sex organ’ and I was banned within a couple of minutes but not before I was told to catch fire and called a TERF.

My loss, clearly. Wink

LunaTrap · 12/06/2018 16:53

I was under the impression that groups representing intersex people had repeatedly asked not to be brought into the trans debate. Why are you dragging various groups into your argument to validate your delusion than men can become women?

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:53

I'm not ducking the question. I'm saying it's a stupid fucking question which you clearly think is 'Aha! I have you here in my power GC feminists - Mwahahahaha' but is actually just idiotic.

8 billion people in the world and none of them have any difficulty working out what a man or a woman is EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you do well... something wrong there clearly.

Or maybe you're one of those people who 'doesn't see race.'

walnutwood · 12/06/2018 16:51

@dinosaursandtea How do you define a woman?

ElenOfTheWays · 12/06/2018 16:50

The universe needs to bring back David Bowie ASAP.

Yes to this. Although tbf, I'd agree with this with or without all the Trans bollocks.

Can we get him to pick up Freddie Mercury on his way?

As for Daim et al. Same drivel, different day. Not heard a single original argument from them yet. Yawn!

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 16:49

Does anyone need to bother Gibberty? Clearly you are through the looking glass here.

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:48

I notice you are ducking the question. Are they men or women?

Depends on the way their syndrome manifests individually. In these cases, it really is a medical assignation. Not the assignation of a few anonymous internet users.

Is your partner intersexed? Is that why you have such an interest in it?

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 16:45

"They are people with AIS aren't they? Like the man with one leg they are anomalous. That’s fine. We don't have to redefine the whole human race as amphibians because my ex boyfriend had webbed toes."

I notice you are ducking the question. Are they men or women?

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 16:44

Stonewall have renamed it Daim. Its called gender fluid or gender expression now, nicely sanitised for the general public to swallow.

No mention of the fetish. Trans people deny it exists, as clearly they are a bit embarrassed. Caitlyn Jenner has mentioned having used his own daughters underwear.

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:44

Oops, new to the board!

Here is the Stonewall quote:

"Trans

An umbrella term to describe people whose gender is not the same as, or does not sit comfortably with, the sex they were assigned at birth.
Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois."

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:43

No organisation is suggesting men with AGP are under the trans umbrella. You keep falsely stating that Stonewall supports people with AGP but it doesn't. No matter how many times you lie about it, Stonewall does not support people with AGP.

I just looked this up, inspired by your post. Here is the Stonewall definition of 'Trans'

"No organisation is suggesting men with AGP are under the trans umbrella. You keep falsely stating that Stonewall supports people with AGP but it doesn't. No matter how many times you lie about it, Stonewall does not support people with AGP.'

Stonewall's website strapline is currently 'Acceptance without Exception'

(source: www.stonewall.org.uk/help-advice/glossary-terms)

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:43

But please all say, are all those people on that page, those the author believes are XY, men or women?

They are people with AIS aren't they? Like the man with one leg they are anomalous. That’s fine. We don't have to redefine the whole human race as amphibians because my ex boyfriend had webbed toes.

You can do this as much as you like but really we can all sex human beings. Cats are tricky buggers mind...

birthdaycakeicecream · 12/06/2018 16:42

Stonewall supports all males who says they are women does it not daim?

GibbertyFlibbert - does the DSM detail fetishes??? I didn't think that's what the DMS was for?!

daimbars · 12/06/2018 16:39

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 16:39

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 16:37

"Oh dear goddd. AGP is a specifically male fetish."

I am struggling with this AGP you mention. What is it? Can you please tell me where I can find it in DSM 5 so that I can check your claim that it is a male fetish? www.psychiatry.org/psychiatrists/practice/DSM That's the link to the DSM to save you time.

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 16:37

Gibberty, we are not denying your partner womanhood. The sperm that fertilised the egg at conception did that.

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:37

saw a man with one leg yesterday. Does that mean humans aren't bipedal?

And will people start campaigning to for shops to sell single shoes to everyone, to prevent the one legged chap being triggered?

birthdaycakeicecream · 12/06/2018 16:36

I can't see how you can take what Picasso said to mean she thinks all transwomen are AGP daimbars. It's just saying that we're now labelling fetishes as gender presentation. It doesn't mean that people without fetishes can't also have their own non-AGP gender presentation.

Incidentally, can I ask anyone who believes that Transwomen are Women a question about language? How would you refer to the group of people in Saudi Arabia, comprise approximately 50% of the population, who have just been granted permission to drive?

Or the group of people in UK history who were not allowed to own their own property once married prior to 1870?

If you had to write about these groups how would you refer to them?

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:35

Oh I see.

We're just throwing shit at a wall and hoping something sticks?

Hands up everyone here who is envious of TIMs.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:34

But no-one said there weren't disorders.

I saw a man with one leg yesterday. Does that mean humans aren't bipedal?

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:34

Nothing. Take a look at this page for example secondtype.tripod.com/ais.htm. Are they men or women on that page?

Um, that's a syndrome not a gender. It's a decision to be made by qualified professionals in consultation with the affected adult.

Stop trying to get us to be as judgey as you are.

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 16:32

"They may well face a different set of disadvantages and discrimination, but by simply saying they feel like a woman, does not magically give them the same experience in our patriarchal society that we and our daughters have, and I cannot believe that you think it does."

So envy is it? They didn't / don't have it has hard as you (you think) so you will deny them womanhood?
