Thanks lighthouse :)

Sorry, I realise I am vaguenetting. Everything is just crap and it feels too big to even start talking about, its an amalgamation of everything being wrong at once.

LighthouseSouth · 18/06/2018 17:27

I feel for you Beyond Flowers

BeyondSceptical · 18/06/2018 17:22

Actually, think I'm gonna have a hot bath and put something loud on save weed for bed time
Just shut the world out for a bit, everything is overwhelming me atm

LighthouseSouth · 18/06/2018 17:17

@BeyondSceptical

If I didn't have asthma, a joint would win every time.

(not really convinced I have asthma....be interesting to see what happens to the lungs of a born & raised & long living Londoner if she moved to a place with clean air...)

not sure if I'd get higher on clean air or a joint! Grin

tell us your troubles, if you want......

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 18/06/2018 17:16

Just popping in to take the joint off beyond...as its a non smoking pub and all Grin

(She can have it back after she's given me some shots)

Well done on the workout light Cake

confused
so Munroe Bergdorf didn't give her talk on Saturday?

Doesn't seem to be much comment about it.

I have done my workout. Mentally moaned for the first 20 minutes but after that it was fine. Not joining the fire service, but you know, getting fitter Grin

tomorrow no chance to work out at all so automatic rest day. I can already tell I'm going to need it!

LighthouseSouth · 18/06/2018 11:47

yes, and also it was mentioned upthread that some posters seem to have changed a lot. I'm seeing that now!

boring personal update - trying to up my workouts and today was meant to be day 2 for a tough one, but I'm like, ugggh....so maybe I won't.

I'm not trying to be Tomb Raider but I had a lot of aims for end of summer and wanted to work out outside as much as possible while the summer was still occurring. Fit in around shifts and planning can go a bit AWOL!

I know a firefighter who works out 2 hours a day almost every day. I don't know how she does it. I do know that if I'm stuck in a fire I want her to rescue me though!

TheChampagneGalop · 17/06/2018 20:18

How is everyone?
Feminist chat seems to have changed a bit since last time I visited. Lots of new usernames and some bickering.
I am confused by the change in talk guidelines after Justine stood up for MN feminists.

ISaySteadyOn · 16/06/2018 21:23

Thanks

ErrolTheDragon · 16/06/2018 17:10

I've not RTFT but your posts made a valid point.

ISaySteadyOn · 16/06/2018 11:51

I have just been brave for me and posted on that situational awareness thread. Would some of you have a look and tell me what you think of my post? I don't know if it is any good but I needed to say it.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 16/06/2018 11:49

rufus exactly that for me too.
I think they just want us to bugger off Sad

I would love a newspaper to discuss Justine's previous free speech comments with her...

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 16/06/2018 10:04

I was ok with the guidelines...the clarifications confused the shit out of me

AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 08:36

There were some "clarifications". They didn't go over to well with many commenters.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/06/2018 07:45

I've been away. I saw the guidelines before I left, but due to limited Internet I have not kept up. WTF has happened?

AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 01:58

I would if I didn't have a cat! He's such a cutie, I hope she figures something out to make him feel more secure when she's not there.

R0wantrees · 16/06/2018 01:47

(or dog comes to visit with Angrykittens?) Wink

R0wantrees · 16/06/2018 01:46

Distressing for all. Its one of those situations though when (most often) the owner has to go right back to basics, make a plan and stick to it. Not easy to do when busy life goes on though.

AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 01:22

It's so distressing! Apparently she's tried all sorts of things and none of them seem to be working.

R0wantrees · 16/06/2018 01:20

There's plenty that the neighbours can do & sooner they start the easier. Howling, barking dog is not a relaxed or secure one!

LighthouseSouth · 16/06/2018 01:07

I keep remembering that scene from "shakespeare in love"

  • that woman is a woman!!
AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 01:03

Sometimes he takes breaks to bark instead. I think he can hear us through the wall and is frustrated that there are people there but he's still not getting any attention.

R0wantrees · 16/06/2018 00:59

Its more likely to become entreched behaviour.
Likely the only way to change it will be if the neighbour does something different. Continual howling? ... I will get a bottle of stronger stuff.

AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 00:54

If my neighbor's dog keeps howling every time she goes out I'm going to need something a lot stronger than SN&B! I love dogs, and he's cute, but I'm wondering how long separation anxiety in a new place can last for (has been a couple of months already).
