regular, NC.

I know we've talked about mental health on these pub threads in the past so I wondered if I could direct you to this - sorry if cheeky but no one really seems to post in Mental Health much - I'm thinking to come off meds and would be interested in hearing experiences.

thanks and sorry for interrupting but the only reply so far is from someone whose prescription ran out

Room for a tourist?

I wondered if anyone knew anything about a group called 'Families need Fathers'? Are they a reasonable group or something masquerading under a nice mask? I just saw this www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-44628179 and with all the recent hype about collapsing rape trials and economic disadvantage for, seemingly aimed, at women, wasn't sure what to think.

I think they are batting off all the crazy they've encountered

my dad got so many questions about his job he started saying "I can't tell you what I do" - I was embarrassed originally but over the years I've begun to be on board with that one

this weekend one of my friends was told "you're such a hippie, I never dreamed you'd care about your children's uni choices". We are still trying to work out what makes a hippie.

then the shit I see on every vegan thread - fake meat, avocados, and now apparently it's a belief system.

so maybe it's easier to just talk shit because some people will judge you on the oddest things. (though the hippie thing remains a complete mystery, the friend in question is a professor too, so, hmm, yes, some knowledge of universities Confused)

Is everybody finding that MN is running terribly slowly today? I thought it was me at first but I'm not having any other internet problems and MN is barely functioning on iPad, iPhone or pc. And there seem to be double posts in several threads, maybe because people think their post hasn't worked and try it again.

Maybe it's the heat. I hope the MN server isn't under attack - although it wouldn't surprise me.

Still. Gives us a chance to sit and ponder.
