i think people are proposing rather different to no platforming Wakame. if you are a tedious misogynist, we can't stop you posting. but we can make use of the thread to exchange some recipes. cos thrift and baking if what the laydees are all about innit?

AngryAttackKittens · 08/06/2018 21:44

So since SMG hasn't been able to get women here to shut up the next step is trying to get them banned? Interesting indeed.

ReluctantCamper · 08/06/2018 21:44

The pattern is becoming clear, I think.
A misogynist posts threads and is reported.
MN leaves the post up for days.
Misogynist claims are refuted and women have a bit of fun with food.
Thread deleted.

how it looks to me too.

badly done @MNHQ

and oats in crumble is good

thebewilderness · 08/06/2018 21:36

Do any of you have experience with Jehova's Witness pamphlets and other publications?
They are full of scripture cites in support of the argument they are making but if you check the Bible you find that none of them say what the pamphlet says they say and in many cases have absolutely nothing to do with the subject.
I have been reminded of fact checking JW pamphlets a lot lately.

theaveragewife · 08/06/2018 21:29

I’m in favour of no platforming oats.

Wakame · 08/06/2018 21:28

I see most of you are in favour of no-platforming. Interesting.

SupermatchGame · 08/06/2018 21:28

You wanna be very sure of your facts if you are accusing people of troll hunting SMG

I'm not accusing anyone of anything Rufustheyawningreindeer. Are you?

theaveragewife · 08/06/2018 21:17

Blame the chef not the oats

auntycartmanslargertestacle · 08/06/2018 21:05

Theaveragewife Throwing them on the floor would be cruel to oats, tsk.

theaveragewife · 08/06/2018 20:57

The flour cannot be wholemeal, it must be plain white flour.

BertrandRussell · 08/06/2018 20:57

You wait til the book I was forced to buy arrives and I make the Apple Grasmere. You'll be eating your words then (and not my pudding).

I think the not TAAT rule needs to be relaxed on occasion.

OP posts:
theaveragewife · 08/06/2018 20:56

Sugar (any type, LOTS of), flour and butter...and possibly a tiny tiny pinch of cinnamon are the only options for crumble topping.

Oats are for breakfast. You are WRONG.

Yes I have noticed this.

I actually would like the pea cake recipe

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 08/06/2018 20:49

And Bertrand I'm really disappointed in you tbh.

And not coming to yours for pudding however much you beg.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 08/06/2018 20:48

There's a no TAAT rule in the TGs too and yet here MN are, happily responding to this.

Flexibility it's a grand thing but not for oats in crumble

I'm afraid this is the distinct impression I have.

BertrandRussell · 08/06/2018 20:44

But oats in crumble is delicious!

OP posts:
thebewilderness · 08/06/2018 20:42

Are derailing posts and off topic posts now defined as troll hunting?
Interesting.

theaveragewife · 08/06/2018 20:41

Joining the choir of WTF would anyone put oats in crumble? I would throw that on the floor.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 08/06/2018 20:38

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 08/06/2018 20:36

Yeah it was erish

I hate the fact that i make it so obvious how quickly i read the thread Grin

SupermatchGame · 08/06/2018 20:36

Or is it simply that there is a 'no troll hunting' rule in the guidelines and several specific Baking/ Food/ Cakes forums for recipes?

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 08/06/2018 20:35

That's exactly what i think happened lang

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 08/06/2018 20:33

Cake recipe
