Sweary also got in a commemt about transwomen who still have their penises not being appropriate in women’s facilities. I really think most people still think that all transwomen are post-op transsexuals.

Kettlepotblack · 31/05/2018 08:53

Fantastic Sweary!

The transgender person seemed to be stumped toward the end there...' I didn't dress up as a man, I self identified as a man and put on a bikini' Grin

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 08:51

Who was the trans person?

JoanSummers · 31/05/2018 08:51

Good bit of radio that, thank you @SwearyG

Off of the typed and anonymous world of Twitter they don't sound insane, they sound disingenuous. They sound like men trying out a con.

boatyardblues · 31/05/2018 08:50

Wonderful interview Sweary! The trans person’s response: “But ma feelz!” Seemed like LBC guy got it - “it seems like you two are talking at cross purposes. One of you is talking about sex and the other about gender.”

JoanSummers · 31/05/2018 08:44

"I woke up on the morning of Genderquake and cried my eyes out" (paraphrased from the radio just now)

Feel sorry for me, I'm the saddest sad in the land!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 31/05/2018 08:38

This may get me deleted, but I sometimes work in an environment where I get sex calls (think call centre, not actual sex line!). You quickly learn to identify which calls are sex calls generally within less than a minute of the call starting. Fae would have sent the red flag up very quickly.

xxyzz · 31/05/2018 08:32

What are some other (designated) men only spaces women could self identify into?

Gentlemen's clubs, golf clubs.

TerfsUp · 31/05/2018 08:11

Man, 49, with a penis and make up complaining he can't go into a woman's gym. He won't fell safe in a male changing room.

Someone call a waaaahmbulance for h* for treatment for h* hurt feelings.

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 08:10

Stupid women and their boring pedestrian domestic murders cos of their silly eggshell skulls.

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 08:09

My point is the only argument Fae has is you're hurting people - cos their feelings are hurt when the focus is taken off them and onto women and children's rights and safeguarding. That's the gas lighting designed to confuse the listener/onlooker - crying wolf in other words.

YY.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 31/05/2018 08:08

Alongside 'your face is hurting my knuckles'

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 08:07

DARVO definition from someone here a few weeks ago: "He's not hurting you; you're hurting him by saying he's hurting you."

That's a perfect example. Like "it hurts me having to do this to you". Abuser speak.

Loopytiles · 31/05/2018 07:14

Secondary schools.

Loopytiles · 31/05/2018 07:14

What are some other (designated) men only spaces women could self identify into?

Hard to attend most mens sports - swimming is an exception Smile! - because of physical risks.

Mens toilets. Have witnessed bad reactions from men to women using those, eg in bars when the womens queue is long.

Mens health services and support groups - users and staff. Attending those or self identifying as a male nurse would seem unfair on male service users, but that’s what’s happening to women.

Men only social clubs, eg the posh ones.

thebewilderness · 31/05/2018 05:00

That is the song of the narcissist. You hear it every time Shon Fae whoozit is given the microphone.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 31/05/2018 04:34

"He's not hurting you; you're hurting him by saying he's hurting you."

My head literally hurt after reading that - is that literal violence?

I think the pictures of those mankinis had thrown me :)

womanformallyknownaswoman · 31/05/2018 04:12

Thx Ereshkigal for picking up that typing blunder Blush - the phrase I'll repeat the comment again as it's so accurate should have been before the quote above made by JoanSummers.

I can see how it doesn't make sense as it is - need an edit function!!

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 01:30

I'll repeat the comment again as it's so accurate - you're hurting people you're hurting people-... that's the whole argument - presumably cos feelings

But the likes of Fae don't care if their demands hurt women.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 31/05/2018 01:17

Jane Fae never brings a real argument to these things. Just long sighs, long winded patronising (dare I call this mansplaining? It is what it is!), and long diversions from the topic. All in Fae's ridiculous and skin crawlingly offensive attempt at ladyvoice.

Fae's whole tactic is to try and confuse listeners out of listening or forming an opinion, and to use misogyny as a tool to discredit women on the opposing side - his whole schtick screams of "calm down dear, don't interrupt when the men are speaking dear, don't worry your little head about it dear"

I'll repeat the comment again as it's so accurate - you're hurting people you're hurting people-... that's the whole argument - presumably cos feelings

And of course it's gas lighting and verbal abusive to put words in someone else's mouth

Well done Amy you came across clear and concise whereas Jane was, breathily, saying well those people in prisons are criminals so maybe ....

Yeah right - they are a captive audience who have no right of reply - the problem I have is those who play wolf in plain sight

MnerXX · 31/05/2018 00:46

It’s taken a while to work through this thread but fabulous work #manfriday

Ereshkigal · 31/05/2018 00:33

Ooh!

boatyardblues · 30/05/2018 22:30

That’s an unusual spelling of Penelope.
