Hats off to you gentlemen, an truly excellent days work.

Still grinning at this quote from the DM - One man shouted: 'They aren't men!'

boatyardblues · 29/05/2018 07:55

About 70% of the commenters under that DM have totally missed the point and are frothing, saying “well maybe us men should just put a bikini on and go to the women’s pool!” Still, it is quite clear the men of DM are not keen on sharing.

Any idea when Sky or other outlets are covering this? I am home today, so have the opportunity to listen/watch live.

RogerAllamsFangirl · 29/05/2018 07:46

Well done chaps. The DM article isn't amazing but I agree it gets the important points across - you're never going to get a newspaper article to read the way you'd like it to.

RainbowFairiesHaveNoPlot · 29/05/2018 07:17

I was very very impressed by the fake beard I shall admit.

I suspect poor PC Barry will be for it for saying he'll kick men out of the women's pond though and will be sent on hours of equality training about the poor transwomen being women too though.

loveyouradvice · 29/05/2018 02:51

Don't despair Sweary.... I though the Mail article was rather good - great photos - great quotes and key messages spot on..... Although not what you would have written I am cheering it! Yes, could have been clearer but really very good... people will read it and start thinking which is what we all want....

ToeToToe · 29/05/2018 01:28

Seems men really do mind when women who identify as men invade their spaces. Who'd have thought it?

Yet us women are such unreasonable transphobes for protesting about penises in women's spaces.

YesItsADebate · 29/05/2018 01:19

Ello ello.

DP made me watch the Monty Python beard clip this morning. Fabulous; cheered me right up,

The pond invasion went swimmingly. Sweary has already given a succinct account (well done SG!) so I’ll just reiterate that the police were excellent, the men at the pond firmly on-side and we were cooperative and within the rules at all times.

Favourite quotes from the day:

“It’s UTTER BOLLOCKS!” (man clearly not believing our ‘we are men’ line, the transphobe Wink).

“There’s a big fat women with a BEARD over there!”

Exchange:
Outraged man: “Men aren’t allowed to go over to the women’s pond and get their cocks out, so why are you?!”

Protester: “Um, we don’t have cocks.”

Outraged man: “I just saw your mate’s VAGINA!”

Protester: “I don’t think you did, although you might have seen her vulva.”

Here's a bit of background on Pips :

bd67th · 29/05/2018 00:55

If Philip Bunce can be listed as a "top 50 female champion" for crossdressing a couple of days per week, I'm sure #manfriday can be taken seriously as men on Fridays.

ToeToToe · 29/05/2018 00:36

(Fake beard wearer - whoever you are - I salute you)

"Are there any women here today?"

"No, no"

GorgonLondon · 29/05/2018 00:35

Wonderful work chaps Grin

ToeToToe · 29/05/2018 00:28

God - the law hasn't even passed yet - but people are acting as though it has. So yay! Let's do it!

#No self ID - and if that law is passed, we will make a mockery of it. We will ID as men in every man's space to make a point. Prove I don't identify as a man, with my long hair, feminine clothes, and makeup. If women can have penises and beards - let the opposite be true.

Ereshkigal · 29/05/2018 00:25

YY, sounds great.

ToeToToe · 29/05/2018 00:23

I just came across this quote from Abraham Lincoln. "The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly".

Excellent. Let's do it.

Mytholmroyd · 29/05/2018 00:19

Flowers awfully well done man Friday chaps!

PencilsInSpace · 29/05/2018 00:18

I think that's a pretty good article for the mail. It got across the main points.

OfSpartacus · 29/05/2018 00:12

It could have been worse. Have you been in touch with any of the other papers? Might be worth getting in touch with Janice?

SwearyG · 29/05/2018 00:11

I suppose it doesn’t reflect on what I think happened today. And doesn’t really get the very simple point, it’s made rather obliquely.

Confused
BoreOfWhabylon · 29/05/2018 00:08

I dunno, Sweary

"PC Barry Macefield of Hampstead Heath constabulary, said: 'They've been peaceful, when we've asked them to leave they've left so we've got no issues with that. There were some men annoyed because they felt their privacy had been invaded and some who were concerned about photography.
'They've had a chance to make their point which they have done peacefully – but you can't enter a facility designated for the opposite sex, and if this occurs with men in the women's ponds we'd deal with that too.' He added: 'The rules need clarity.' "

Good on PC Barry!

MipMipMip · 29/05/2018 00:07

Trouser snake?

MipMipMip · 29/05/2018 00:03

Believe me, that was the polite version boatyardblues. Grin

boatyardblues · 29/05/2018 00:01

When they open the comments, get the other points across there.
