I will always stand against the ideological totalism of compelled thought and proscribed speech that is preventing women from describing men as men here, on Twitter and anywhere else.

Just adding my name to the chorus. I agree with all the positives above. Thank you Miranda for being Miranda. And, as someone local, please do keep the beautiful estuary views coming on your videos Smile

Judder · 12/10/2018 09:55

Welcome Miranda, another fangirl here. So wonderful you can join us! You are a truly extraordinary man, with more insight, empathy and eloquence than most of either sex. And the courage to be yourself. Write the book. I will buy it, and copies for friends.

GRALetter · 12/10/2018 09:30

I will buy your book Miranda and will pass copies on, you are one of us x

Slippersandacuppa · 12/10/2018 09:29

I’d be honoured to be your ally Flowers

GRALetter · 12/10/2018 09:28

and so say all of us Halo

ohello · 12/10/2018 07:29

I came on here to say how rude that was, Miranda is a lovely person who puts women first and so I don't mind at all referring to her as her.

And then I notice the user name. Smile

I would definitely buy a book Mir. I love your writing.

TinyRick · 12/10/2018 01:16

If I was in the UK, I'd buy you a drink Wine

I used to buy Terrorizer and Metal Hammer \m/

VMisaMarshmallow · 12/10/2018 00:58

Oh yes Mir please write a book, 90% of women would buy it and you can donate a chunk of the profits to fighting this BS. Buying your book would be a protest many of us can manage, especially those of us who are too bogged down in mothering, caring for family members, dealing with disabilities and so on to manage to step up in other ways currently. But we could put our money where it counts in buying a book you wrote if some of it funded a legal protest to protect women’s rights or similar.

I know there is always the arguement that we should be buying women’s books, and propping up women’s voices, I wouldn’t knock that but imho male violence is the problem of men and it’s the responsibility of men to use their male privilege to address that, and this attack on women’s rights is most definitely male violence against women and girls so I would think there’s nothing more appropriate than a man standing up to address that.

Stay strong Mir x

A wonderful man Flowers and one of the few men sticking up for women.

LastFirstEverything · 29/05/2018 16:46

Miranda- you inspire me and give me hope in humanity. I hope you are OK, keep being you. You seem so lovely, courageous and full of decency and integrity.

MrsTerryPratchett · 29/05/2018 16:20

Is it wrong of me to be quite glad everyone is getting banned on Twitter. I can Twoot and don't understand that place. Everyone will spend more time on here. Yay but also obviously silencing and bad and all that yay for me.

waterlego6064 · 29/05/2018 16:04

Miranda is a man, but if I met Miranda in person, I would most likely use Miranda’s preferred pronouns. Because Miranda is a decent person.
