And issues like these, that only concern female biology, are about the ONLY times you will hear a peep out of the TRAs with regard to TIFs. Other than that, TIMs, TIMs and more bloody TIMs.

YY.

The issue of organised mass reports on Twitter was raised here with Del Harvey (VP, Twitter Trust & Safety) 24/5
with comment,

"From the number of women, mainly lesbians, being banned it's clearly working. It would be great to see Twitter at least acknowledge this problem & offer support to women so affected."

If you block someone they no longer appear as a follower

Mamaryllis · 28/05/2018 06:39

Not banned, sorry - I meant blocked.

Mamaryllis · 28/05/2018 06:38

Random twitter q - if I follow someone, is there a reason that my follow would drop off? (As in, I realise if someone blocks me, that would drop the follow? Is that right?) but why would my follows drop off if i’m not banned?
General question - someone posted that twitter seems to be dropping follows and I don’t understand how it works.

On a similar subject, was Posie's post about her video with Stephanie Davies-Arai removed? Has this already been discussed?

Anyway, @therealposieparker, excellent video! As I pediatrician, I have tremendous concerns regarding the subject matter presented. Thank you!

Pratchet · 28/05/2018 05:33

Or is not a non man

Pratchet · 28/05/2018 03:45

Sorry about this mnhq

MY said a certain person is a non-woman or something like that

Pratchet · 28/05/2018 03:41

'Just' women

LaSqrrl · 28/05/2018 02:45

It is frustrating we can’t read what Miranda wrote.
Maybe the comment is archived on that dob-in-a-terf twitter?

Tweet:
reminder that it’s not just women who have wombs and can get pregnant #Repealthe8h for our non binary and trans friends too

When they include 'non binary', it shows up how stupid it is to conflate sex and gender. And issues like these, that only concern female biology, are about the ONLY times you will hear a peep out of the TRAs with regard to TIFs. Other than that, TIMs, TIMs and more bloody TIMs.

The TRAs keep prattling on about 'gender dysphoria' - well, isn't following standard human sexual reproduction "triggering" to that so-called 'dysphoria'? Oh I see, more of a part-time, dysphoria of convenience thing? Got you.

i saw this on twitter earlier today Sad

Writersblock2 · 28/05/2018 01:11

It is frustrating we can’t read what Miranda wrote. So how do we go about setting up our own space then?

LaSqrrl · 28/05/2018 00:09

The comment by Mama at 2.05 am stands, as do the screenshots.
But now removed it seems. I checked.

I am about to check out mewe and see how it fares, against FB primarily. I don't Twitter much (my last post was IWD 2016), mainly I did not like the format that much (and you know, being too bloody wordy all the time 140 characters, you have to be kidding me!!!) LOL

wishiwassizeeight · 27/05/2018 23:49

Ugh.

Just disgusting that Mumsnet, a website for women, is complicit in our silencing.

Ffs
Exactly what did Miranda say that was too offensive for us to read??

Terfulike · 27/05/2018 17:34

MirandaFlowersWine
You're a hero
You and Magdalen and Posie and Venice and all the others who are fighting to keep a word to describe our sex.

Beamur - yes, totally. Better things to do.
But as my (now deleted) post upthread pointed out, Aimee Challenor recreated the terfblocker list, (which is laughable - as a list of transphobia it included such well known terfs as the South Battersea Brownies) with a load of techy mates. This list is used to mass block all ‘terf’ accounts.
Aimee and techy friends boast about their technical prowess and have inside info on how the twitter algorithms work for bans. So their wee army of twitter warriors (who apparently have no jobs of other merit) create mass reporting campaigns against whoever they want to silence next.
It’s actually quite alarming.

I’m still fascinated that we are being forced into mis-sexing by mnhq.

It’s a feature of social media currently. Force people to lie or remove their voice.

Fascinating.

Mamaryllis · 27/05/2018 15:37

It’s very interesting.
Can we say ‘Aimee Challenor is a transwoman. Transwomen are not women.’?
I’m fascinated that it is no longer acceptable to recognize biological reality.
This is the mentality that allows Kimberly Nixon (another transwoman) to drag Vancouver Rape Relief through the courts for not providing access in a one to one setting to female rape victims.

If you are not allowed to recognize biological reality, you are removing female rape victims’ rights to sex-segregated spaces.

MNHQ, there is a REASON we are being pedants about biological sex.
No one hates transwomen. We aren’t misgendering them to their faces and waving baseball bats. But silencing our means of communicating to discuss our silencing is pretty low.

Transwomen are men. Most of them are fully intact men.

Bill C-16 has not been passed in the UK. We aren’t ‘misgendering’. We are reporting actual sex.

Beamur · 27/05/2018 15:10

I get it. Better things to do!

Pratchet · 27/05/2018 12:56

Working women here means women who work at life: jobs, child rearing, caring, volunteering, cleaning etc: all the work that women do.
