You once said that AGPs confuse feeling sexy with feeling like a woman. The world's biggest penny dropped for me when you said it and I've never forgotten it.

And of course, the actual way to get women to accept you - if not as an actual woman but rather a welcome guest in women's society - is to make it clear you'll accept rejection as and when it comes.

Totally agree. The biggest thing I see is how they dive at every stereotype going. Look at the vast majority of TIM's:- Faces plastered with make-up, heels, painted nails, dresses, stockings, exaggerated movement, etc, etc, etc. They don't try to look like your average everyday woman, they are a caricature based on everything we want to separate from.

This lack of interest that lots of girls have shown in careers in computing - well STEM in general apart from medical - is really coming back to bite us in the arse.

Sorry for being blunt - I don't how else to put it. It's been one of my bug bears for years now. But if women don't take a hand in shaping the future of mankind that this was bound to happen.

This is now illegal under GDPR though, isn’t it? Prejudice via algorithm is now forbidden.

So why is it still happening? It’d make an interesting test case.

Ereshkigal I truly wish people would read that forum. It's a cesspit of misogyny and hatred of women. Some of the stuff in there is enough to make your toes curl. The admin today, again is saying they don't want Angels ripped apart here. They need to moderate the hate speech towards women then we wouldn't post here about them, chicken fillets, how to hide your beard shadow and size 12 shoes are not really our interest.

Someone suggested that it would be a reasonable safeguard to ban people with a sex offence conviction from self ID to get a GRC. But obvs others disagreed:

Sex offences is far too broad an exclusion. You can end up on the sex offenders register for drunkenly slapping someone's backside. If an offender is a serious danger to the public then they need locking up in either prison or a secure mental hospital. In other cases it's just pandering to the TERFs.

Much empathy. Such womanly.
