Trans women

Probably going to get shot down massively here but a simple question clearly there is a lot of hate for men wanting to be women, but nothing about women becoming men. Do you also frown upon this or is it ok and for what reason?

Cool story, bro!
I have a female friend! Mother of 3, in her 60s who wears her greying hair short and does not wear makeup. She was verbally abused by a woman in the changing rooms at the local sports centre because another woman thought she was a trans-woman.

Yeah, cool story, bro! Really, really, cool story, bro!

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 02:36

Just ask yourself! If a colleague of yours who you had worked closely with for 5 years told you in confidence on a night out that she was a trans woman. Would you expect her to stop using the ladies room?

thebewilderness · 20/05/2018 02:34

Or women can just stay home like they do in the countries where there is no sex segregated spaces for women. We are aware by now that for many men the transgender advocacy is a tool they are using to roll back women's rights and that transgender identified males care absolutely nothing about anyone's rights but their own.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 02:34

Not really, because such men are born and raised men, an d not actual women born with a cunt etc

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 02:25

It's public and done in my changing room.

If people are behaving sexually in your changing room, call the police. There are laws to deal with that.

“Still a man though”
Who gets to decide?

This kind of bullying is intolerable. What gave the woman the right to accost my friend?

Unless someone is harming you, you should let them be. A trans woman should be treated like any other woman. Just by being herself she. Is not harming you or anyone else. You might not want to let her into your branch of the ‘woman club’, but she’s welcome in most days branches.

Terfulike · 20/05/2018 02:13

I still think trans people are more likely to present as a caricature of their target sex than regular individuals. You have not convinced me. Blue rinse brigade is lacking.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 02:12

Basically, whatever TRA/MRA men feel they are - they are still men. And most women don't want them in sex-specific spaces for women and girls, because they are men.

That is a NO. End of conversation.

If you keep pushing me to weaken my boundaries -then you are, by definition, a person not to be trusted.

AGP. I don’t know enough about this. Your description sounds like a fetish rather than gender dysphoria. What people do in their own bedrooms is private and their business.

Did you read the link? Those men are transwomen. And it's not private and done in their bedrooms. It's public and done in my changing room.

That's the difference between transsexuals and autogynephiles. Both are transwomen though.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 02:04

Bollocks. Men are born men. They experience male socialisation. Not female socialisation. This is a major point.

If you have an argument with male socialisation, then please take up that argument on an appropriate men's rights site.

thebewilderness · 20/05/2018 02:02

Sounds like the trans experience, either way.
I am describing the female experience in a female space when faced with a transgender identified male, and you are of course dismissing me.
These conversations serve to remind us that transgender is comorbid with NPD in 80% of cases.

Its not a fetish that stays in the bedroom, and it destroys marriages. Look for the Trans Widows Escape Committee thread. You have the luxury of being able to ignore the bits you don't like, other women are having to deal with it.
Autogynephiles bankrupt their families as the behaviour takes over in late middle age.

People prating "Gender identity" means nothing, when compared with the physical reality of being born female.

Me and my fanjo did sixteen years in the military. Still a woman. I quite enjoyed beasting the boys, some of whom couldn’t quite deal with the fact that the short chick was fast and strong. The military is actually a really useful backdrop to playing gender. It proves that gender is a big fat bag of hairy bollocks and that either sex can get shit done. It certainly doesn’t prove that women who serve need to get a T prescription and a pump up dick.

The one thing the military is, of course, is deeply misogynistic. So any woman serving would be vulnerable to that.

But anyhoo. No. Men don’t get to join the woman club. Soz. They can wear dresses, flip their hair, and get called Ariel or Kat. They can chop their penises off. All good. Do whatever you want. You do you. I hope it eases any discomfort you experience and I will support your right to do so.
Still a man though.

Pseudonymium · 20/05/2018 01:47

Of course not.
A persons sexuality is independent of their gender. A persons sexuality is their business. It is not a choice. Coming out or remaining closeted is a choice. Society is tolerant enough that most gay people are confident to come out these days and live an authentic life

Gender identity is independent of sex and sexuality, and a person’s gender should be their business. However it is much more difficult to come out because of the intolerance of trans people. Hopefully this will change and trans people will be able to live authentic lives too.

What is AGP?

Autogynephilia is a paraphilia, in which men are aroused by the thought of presenting as women.

Truthwillwin · 20/05/2018 01:42

Make up does not maketh the woman. Well, I hope not.

thebewilderness · 20/05/2018 01:41

You don’t see them because you already accept them as women.

Men make this mistake all the time. They assume that failure to object is acquiescence. I assure you it is not. It is a lifetime of conditioning coupled with fear.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 20/05/2018 01:39

Incel.

Maryz · 20/05/2018 01:38

"Gay people, like trans people, are an example of when sometimes things don’t align"

That is a really weird statement. So are you saying there is something intrinsically wrong with being gay? Since you seem to think that the way to "fix" trans people is to alter their bodies, do you think the same applies to gay people? Does a man who fancies men have something so wrong with him that he needs to change his body and become a woman who fancies men, perhaps.

Bloody hell Shock
