If they have a GRC they are automatically assigned to the female estate. They share the EA protected characteristic of sex with women. Having a GRC means that they are treated for the vast majority of purposes as if they were female. So it is important to appropriately gatekeep who has one. And not give them to say, Ian Huntley.

Thats not true. As I said there are independant prison authorities in charge of deciding where high risk individuals are held, and a GRC has no bearing on it.

Even still there are still exemptions even with a GRC, and that would be one of them, even if it 'was' relevant.

As for the self-id pertaining to prisons, that has no bearing on which prisoners are housed in which estate. Their is an independent authority in charge of this, and is not tethered by whether or not someone has a GRC.

No, I am not in the slightest bit trying to intimidate a woman with self-id concerns, why would you think that? Because I'm questioning an evident lack of understanding?
I am actually trying to have a discussion about it, thats all, so far you havent given any examples of how self-id affects the changes you claim it does.

In the past cis-women deemed a risk have been held in male estates, same with trans women who would present a significant risk. Whether or not that is satisfactory is for you to take up with the prison authorities.
But this has nothing to do with GRA.

Every time you yell that, you minimise the horrible and real transphobia some trans people face. Trans people have voiced this on here repeatedly. You are doing them harm. You are making people so sick of what they perceive as narcissistic whinging that they are turning their backs on the most vulnerable who really suffer gender dysphoria.

Take a look at some of the male spaces of the internet if you want to see some real transphobic abuse. It's horrible. Back off from trying to intimidate a woman with genuine concerns about self-id. It doesn't reflect well on you.

Because people have read about the possible upcoming reform and want to get in ahead of the game, as I clearly stated. It has acted as a catalyst for some very big changes. Without talk of possible reform, peoples' attention would have been elsewhere and it's probable many of the changes wouldn't have been made.

I meant men, btw. I don't consider I should lie about criminals who are milking the system to gain access to vulnerable women. They are men. Some of them very violent, nasty, narcissistic ones. 'Man' is not a slur. It is a biological fact.

Might I possibly point you in the direction of the Girl Guides, women's sport, and prisons where men have been moved to female facilities?

People are pre-empting the GRA reform to look like good brocialists. The damage is already being done. Big, irreversible amounts of damage.
