Have just grassed you up for banning them @MNHQ

They said "Mumsnet you left us no choice"

I think you are supposed to hang your heads in shame Grin

Little WYP are mostly on secondment to the Tour De Yorkshire, enyoying the weather and having a Mivvi, so the TRA's will need to give it a while for their reports to be NFAd investigated.

Ereshkigal · 06/05/2018 14:18

Response? "I tried being nice, but you just wouldn't listen. Now look what you made me do! This is all your fault - if only you had done as you were told, none of this would have happened. Are you happy now? Is this what you wanted?"

Classic abuse tactics

Absolutely.

OlennasWimple · 06/05/2018 14:13

TERFragette - you could try the local Police & Crime Commissioner rather than go to the HO (who will almost certainly push it back to local force)

OlennasWimple · 06/05/2018 14:12

I said this on another thread, but I havent' woken up properly yet to have another thought, so I'll repeat it here:

Very reasonable request from MN for the account holder to get in touch with MNHQ to discuss some stuff (standard protocol, I believe, where there are concerns?)

Response? "I tried being nice, but you just wouldn't listen. Now look what you made me do! This is all your fault - if only you had done as you were told, none of this would have happened. Are you happy now? Is this what you wanted?"

Does anyone know who we would contact to make a complaint about a woman who takes her child abroad for castration? This is getting silly and it seems to be to be a cry for help. Which I am more than happy to get involved with.

Would it be her local police force?

There is a lot of advice on the gov.uk site about what to do if you suspect FGM, there is a duty of care for health professionals, teachers, childminders etc to report if they have any suspicion of a child being taken abroad for GM procedures. It does focus on girls but then I guess if this parent is insisting their child is indeed a girl this becomes FGM.

As a childcare professional I would contact the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) - each area has one, details likely to be on the council website for the local area of the child involved.

LittlePaintBox · 06/05/2018 13:55

Dozens of West Yorkshire coppers will be jumping into their patrol cars as we speak.

Crying with laughter (while waiting for a knock on the door).

Ereshkigal · 06/05/2018 13:43

Can I ask why we think it's Helen/Giuliana? Is there evidence? That wasn't what came across to me when whoositwhatever rocked up on the thread. That person sounded quite arrogant, self assured, entitled, used to getting their own way. Also quite immature. Like a student TRA or at least someone quite young and politically zealous. Helen and Giuliana are full of impotent frothing rage at gender critical women. The SF thread poster did refer to "we this" and "we that" though so there might be several people involved?

TERFragetteCity · 06/05/2018 13:37

I am going to look into it.

Xenophile · 06/05/2018 13:35

The Home Office?

TERFragetteCity · 06/05/2018 13:33

Her local police force is the one she uses to personally enforce action against anyone she believes is committing wrongthink or wrongspeak.

So who is above them? Would we have to first put the complaint in, and then when it is responded to, go higher?

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 06/05/2018 13:29

Well they can't be that clever if they think they were suspended for 'noo reason' rather than the reason MNHQ gave...in the actual email

And that whole section 28 palaver

Helen really isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, she and ghouliana can’t have much going on in their lives, so much time for frenzied frothing!

Popchyk · 06/05/2018 13:12

Oh that was my post. Squeal. Famous at last.

To be honest, I'm not sure that they realised I was quoting The Guardian. I presume they thought that those were my words.

Folks y'all : the quotation marks (" " < these things) in a sentence indicate that you are quoting something else.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 06/05/2018 12:57

The lastest one is just odd. It's a quote from the letter to the Guardian from the group of transexuals last week and a comment repeating part of the quote.

Is Mumsnet being demanded to censor letters printed in the Guardian now? Has anyone told the Guardian?

Fecking eejit

The "you left us no choice" thing is a threat.

Dozens of West Yorkshire coppers will be jumping into their patrol cars as we speak.

GenderApostate · 06/05/2018 12:51

Mimmymoominmama is utterly deranged, actually I think that I’ve just insulted the lovely, peace loving moomins by association 😉

DarthArts · 06/05/2018 12:49

What's with all the passive aggressive hearts?

It just looks silly.

Well tbh the whole account looks silly quite frankly.

OvaHere · 06/05/2018 12:40

Assigned It's because the want it couched in obfuscating language. Describing things in plain English sheds too much light.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 06/05/2018 12:15

My 11.34 post above is being lobbied for removal by a TRA on twitter. Saying it is transphobic. How can anyone seriously argue that it is transphobic?

It is factually accurate, and those facts can be checked by referencing the Susie Green TED Talk

The arrogance of these people trying to shut us up about subjects they publicly talk about is breathtaking.

BarrackerBarmer · 06/05/2018 12:10

At some point perhaps the TRAs may realise that you can't stop people thinking for themselves.
They are fighting such a losing battle.
Their best case scenario is to scare a large enough proportion of the population into lying for them.

No one is ever going to believe this nonsense. People will fall into groups: those who will pretend and lie/ those who won't.

Sex is never ever going to go away. It will always be present, glaringly obvious and impossible to ignore, contradicting every claim gender tries to make.

What a stupid battle to pick.

Pratchet · 06/05/2018 12:07

They were given enough rope to hang themselves.

PermissionToSpeakSir · 06/05/2018 12:03

I am glad @MNHQ have done that.

I don't know if they mentioned it on any threads to say they were going to suspend that account and I think that goady poster would have been better off keeping quiet to deal with behind the scenes rather then screenshot their own username.

It makes MN look better for it. Shifts the balance of power back.
